Because he didn't want to beat them, he wanted to join them. now that there gone, there's no one to join. even when it is reviled that they can come back, he doesn't ready for another fight, as that won't give him what he wants. that remorse of his makes the satisfaction of him finally getting that invitation all the better, because it asks the question of "is he really going to get in after this? does he Deserve it be in after This?" and then they let him in. whether it is in spite of what he has done or because of it doesn't matter, because they finally let him in. He finally gets his dream.

in the 1st rap we can see that waluigi mostly flawlessed this round but at the end still apparently had a bloody nose and lip. we can neglect this for the most part or put an estimate of like 1% in the second rap we see him hit by zelda's din's fire which we can assume was uncharged, doing 8% and so taking us to 9% he is then hit by what assumably is link's jab, 3 more % taking us to 12% dont know what the crowbar is or the weight cause am lazy but we can assume the arm bar from little mac is his down throw which does 4% taking us to 16%, he then gets hit by charizard neutral b for 7 seconds and megamans jab(??) for about 5 which should be about 18% taking us to 34 he is then hit by sonic by what is most likely either side b or neutral b, probs neutral due to the precision of the strike so 42% then bayo dash attack (probably) to take us to 51 then he is immediately hit with greninja's substitution which is 13% so 64% then hit with 7 bananas which i can only assume are diddy's banana peels which each do 5% so 35% more which means waluigi is now on 99%, then hit by falco for ~6 taking to 105% cloud then strikes with down air (cant be up b cause no flippy flip) for 18 taking us to 123% each bob-omb does about 32% so there's 5 there so that takes us to 283 percent meaning the stated damage (300) is only off by 17% which is fucking insane that they took the time to get it that accurate while making it into a rap/amv
