An unqualified baby whine ass. I saw a documentaery two years ago and all he does on set is whine and complain, wants everything his way. The other staff told of how inept he really is. The directors have to give him signals on sets so he knows what to do next. That of course, pisses people off bc it is actually CHEATING!

The funny thing is that the surprise ingredient timed cooking competition genre grew out of the original Japanese Iron Chef series, and if you go back to watch those episodes they had better production and are in many ways superior to anything we've had since.

Good riddance. I’ve despised Bobby Flay ever since he won Iron Chef against Chef Morimoto twice. Once in Japan and again in the US. Both times he jumped up on his food prep table and stood on it basking in his win. A very offensive thing in Japan. He had the nerve to do it again in the US.

Huge method flaw in the "Next Iron Chef" show.... The problem is, weaker contestant chefs are constantly trying to eliminate the most talented chefs in order to gain an elimination advantage. So what happens is, a weaker chef wins.....and that's not what an Iron Chef is supposed to be. Food Network made the NIC an entertainment show, rather than an expert cooking show.
@shanetaylor761
@shanetaylor761 3 жыл бұрын
Isn't that like most competitive things? It's unfair but when a truly great person still wins it makes them shine all the more. Like back when every body used to try to foul Jordan. Whenever you're the best you're a target. I learned that at a real young age with the blue shell in Mario cart lol.
@FreqBand
@FreqBand 3 жыл бұрын
@@shanetaylor761 I think the best overall chef should win. But when several weaker chefs conspire to eliminate a stronger chef.... eventually the stronger chef may lose, based on the sheer amount of attack. So sometimes, the better chefs are eliminated.

I call this guy Souffle because I will never consider him an Iron Chef. He battled the real Iron Chef and not only did he embarrass America with his antics by jumping on the counter and acting like a clown, but he lost besides making us look like chumps. Yeah he got a second chance and won, but I will never forget that humiliation. As for Iron Chef America...it doesn't compare to the original Iron Chefs, although my favorite thing ever said on this show is the days special ingredient "HAAAAMBURGURRRRRRR!" It still makes me laugh.

@@dekstro15 Ramsey would dominate Flay honestly. Flay is good at Tex Mex style cooking. In ultra high end cuisine Flay wouldn't stand a chance against Ramsey. There's a reason Flay doesn't have a Michelin star and Ramsey has 16.

actually, about three years ago a competition between them WAS scheduled. and flay, in a really disrespectful move, pussed out and was a no-show. I lost all respect for flay after that. The video is on KZbin. ramsay, as a proven 3-star Michelin chef would HANDILY beat him... how many Michelin stars does flay have? as well, flay has been beaten by amateur chefs before...Gordon is the far superior chef.
