What's your best tip for cooking a perfect steak?

I Love steak USDA Prime Rib from Walmart $19.00 per pound it is my guilty pleasure. I get a 12 oz steak and make 2 meals out of it.. I cook it in a cast iron pan I have owned since 1989. Avocado oil butter garlic rosemary and S&P char it on one side cook the other side till its 129 degrees inside its perfect every time..did i say I love Steak lol

I always need to have it tenderized twice I always need to have a tenderized twice as i use The round steak with the bone in it... I'm 77 now And it's still one of my faves...❤

There is no "best way" because steaks are so variable. I wouldnt cook a flank streak or a ribeye the same way even if they were the same size.
