@Resonosity3 жыл бұрын
For me, the ideal would be to find a place that 1) is authentic to the culture from which traditional recipes and their presentations originate, and 2) uses food that is grown in a responsible and ethical manner. If restaurants could do both, then I'll gladly start to change my habits. And by "responsible and ethical manner", I mean that the restaurant in question doesn't just use the word sustainability and expect that the customer is immediately fully satisfied. I want transparency. Even if a restaurant is fully transparent but isn't perfect, if they recognize that fact just as much as I do and have plans to improve in a relatively short time scale, then that builds my confidence way more than any authenticity claims. It depends on which perspective you look at this from, but with climate change and ecological well-being, you can't really deny that 2) is just as important as 1). Take care 🤙

Worked at chipotle for 4 years was a manager for almost 3. The clocking out shit is super really. As a crew member Multiple times if we had a really shitty night and we were going to be kept at the store past midnight we were all auto clocked out at midnight and then we were told that the managers would adjust our time and make it look like we came into work like an hour or an hour and a half early to compensate for working off the clock but to be honest I don’t really know if that ever happened. The guacamole being super shitty like that honestly it’s not the crewmembers fault. for a good 6 months my store got rockhard ( when trump pissed of Mexico and they wouldn’t sell them too the US) avocados to the point that they added almost an extra hour and a half in the morning labor because after knifing them in half and scooping the avocados we literally had to dice them with the chef knife because they were so hard before we could mash them. anytime we would get either really really really hard under ripe avocados or over ripe are brown avocados we were told by the district manager to do whatever we could and just get it done we were not allowed to ever run out of guac even if the avocados were disgusting. Sometimes we would spent 3 hours just on the guac because the quality was so bad it tripped the quantity.

so there’s this really bad service chipotle in my neighborhood, (I love chipotle, but it’s true) there’s a better one minutes away but this one is right next to my house and there’s no point of waiting more time driving there. Anyways, I was standing in line for probably 20 minutes because the workers were too busy taking online orders, ignoring the millions of the people in line- and there was one dude they were taking with lots of orders probably for a big amount of people and it took a while. people to remember: the girl behind us, the 2 boys (friends) in front of us. anywho, one of the friends in front of us started randomly being rude, cussing the workers out and yelling at them, things like “NO YOU LISTEN TO ME, YOURE GONNA TAKE MY (bad word) ORDER OK” and “STOP TAKING ONLINE ORDERS!!” and the workers were staying quiet. So, the absolute QUEEN behind us walked up and was like “EXCUSE YOU, WHO THE (bad word) DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? YOU DONT SPEAK TO HIM LIKE THAT, HES SERVING YOU TAKING YOUR ORDER!” walked back to her spot like “WHO THE (bad word) DO YOU THINK YOU ARE” then some middle aged lady was like “girl I love you for that” and the rude guys friend had the audacity to say “stop I’ll take care of him” SERIOUSLY BRO?? the rude guy started saying racist things to them, and his friend was LITERALLY MEXICAN, AND THIS WAS A MEXICAN GRILL, WITH MEXICAN WORKERS. DIDNT EVEN STAND UP FOR HIS OWN PEOPLE. when the lady started ordering, she said “I’m so sorry for that” and the worker just shrugged. There’s always something going on at this chipotle, (others are better, it’s just this one in my neighborhood.) in fact, today the soda machine was broken. There’s never any guacamole, and now this. The nice lady was probably in her early 20s, and none of the people cussing realized there was little kids in line, including me. I will never forget this experience. (dang my brothers always missing the spicy drama 💀) (we witnessed a fight on the street the other day without him) Anyways, this is a message to not be racist, because I’ve experienced this, and it’s really bad. We’re all equal and skin colors don’t matter. So think twice before speaking.

Most pay with credit or debt card..that's why there is a cash and coin shortage. 🪙 Some don't even think with when the employees says "exact change" 🙄 For example, the bowl is $10.48 and they give you $20.48, but your draw, does not have the cash and coins in it.

Chipotle may do many things, but at least they don't say "latinx". Jesus does not approve.

As a Mexican American I really dont care if they pay homage to Mexicans. They really dont have to and its obviously not authentic Mexican food

No wonder there is food poisoning. Their food is never kept hot. It sucks.

You won't see a Mexican eating at Chipotle.. every now and then you do. They're all at the Taco stand getting real Mexican tacos.
