I haven´t been to the USA in 13 years but I promisted to myself that if I ever get to re-visit the USA, the first place I`m gonna head to - before I even check in the hotel - will be Chipotle. Back when I was living and working in the USA, I absolutely looooved going to Chipotle. I became downright addicted to their veggie burrito and till this day I miss it so much. I just can`t wait to go to Chipotle again. Of all the restaurant chains that exist in the world, Chipotle is my no. 1. I know that for those who live in USA, Chipotle is probably nothing that special, but I`m really a huge fan. I wish we had Chipotle here in Germany or in my native Czech Republic.

Labamba was the original Chipotle. It was invented by the Aguas brothers from chicago. Their first location was in Champaign Illinois. It became a huge sensation there. The Pepsi cola Rep noticed this & created a business plan, which he shopped to McDonalds HQ, in Chicago. That is how a made to order burrito giant was born. "Burritos as big as your head!"

Wow I hear no idea the guy who started the company was from the bay area. I was born and raises in the Bayarea. And i love a mission street burrito. I live 2 hours from SF but whenever I visit that is one of the first places I stop at. There is a little hole in the wall burrito shop right next to the bart station on mission. That is my favorite spot. His burritos are very reminiscent of a mission street burrito.

When they were investigating the issues within Chipotle regarding the outbreaks, that was a huge question actually. Because our menu (I’m a manager w the company) isn’t standardized and people customize to their liking, scientists( at first) COULD NOT figure out where exactly these outbreaks stemmed from. Hence, when the question of whether or not competition had infiltrated the company and had begun to contaminate food began. When we receive our manager certification that’s actually a HUGE topic they cover. And that’s why we have things in place now to make sure everyone is healthy and ready to work prior to their shift, as well as standardized cleaning protocols with specific solutions designed to fight off any food related virus.

I'm costarican so we don't have Chipotle here, instead we go to a fast food restaurant or a soda if your digging home cook food but don't want to make it yourself. If you live in San José then the best thing you can do for yourself is go to "La Muerta de Hambre" in Gravilias absolutely incredible food, they give you a big portion and the prices are great. Fun fact: It's not actually called "La Muerta de Hambre" which literally translates to "The Starved Dead" It's called "La Yogui". People call it that because no matter what time is it, it's always full with hungry people. It could perfectly be 4:00 am and there would be people still eating.

Oh! Yes. CHIPOTLE used to make delicious "little donkeys" or burritos at its beginnings. Last time i went no flavor not even a resemblance what it used to be. As a mexican i was happy about chipotle being a success because eventhough the owners are not Mexicans it is like they have put 'taquerias' in a different level. But now with not flavor and all, chipotle has become just a beautiful building and a clean premises...

Chipotle never impressed me with taste of their foods. Quite bland and well, meh... There's another growing chain making similar style food called Freebirds that I think uses a lot better ingredients and the staff always seems to be much more friendly. There's a culture thing there I think. Anyway, find one and you'll see the difference.

Ryan Matlock chipotle in a town in Ohio called Bedford. Might be the best chipotle I've ever been to. They put lots of stuff on the burritos, and had really nice employees. Even thud one guy that flipped the lids onto the burrito bowls. He was really fun to watch.

I wouldn't eat at any of this chain's places even if you put a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger. Obviously a damage control puff piece based on absolutely what...maybe *a month* without yet another sickening outbreak of disease and evidence of food supply chains that are obviously beyond this management's ability to monitor for cleanliness? If this piece was to be done at all, it should trumpet years of not making anyone sick, not just 4 weeks or so, or that "We were THE BEST!!!... In 1993!!!!".
