Ey bro. I wrote you one year ago, I told you this case was my dream, and you answer me. I just wanted to tell you I finally got it! It's arriving this Monday and I'm so excited. I already have an itx case but I still wanted this one.

Nice build. I have had my Ghost for 1 1/2 years and it is the nicest case I have every owned. I have a 8700k and Zotac 2080 Super using the same Noctua cooler. You can build a small, powerful and quiet setup if you plan a bit and buy good components.
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 3 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s amazing isn’t it! My build is almost the same as yours then except I have the 9700 (non k). I undervolted the gpu and even when heavy gaming it’s quiet

@@MashITTech I needed to undervolt my 2080 Super also, but it runs really well now and is very quiet.

SF450 psu might be too low for this setup, isnt it ?
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 4 жыл бұрын
The Corsair sf series psu seem to punch above their weight. I would have liked to have put a more powerful unit in the machine but with the shortage at the moment I couldn’t get one whilst doing the build. It has been running solidly for weeks now with no problems 👍

Nice video, do you think Noctua NH-L12 ghost edition heatsink can handle an 8 core 10700 CPU in this case? I am choosing between 10400f and 10700f. Thanks!
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 3 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure it will handle a standard 10700 but probably not an overclocked k. It handled my 9700 with ease and was almost inaudible. You might just need to undervolt and play with long term boost values to get it to your liking
@SpeedyCate
@SpeedyCate 3 жыл бұрын
Why do you undervolt the GPU and CPU? Just to make it more quiet or any more reasoning?
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 3 жыл бұрын
Purely because I hate fan noise. The computer is sitting right next to me so I want it as quiet as possible

What are your clock speed on the i7 9700? I have the same case with a i9 9900k @ 4700 no avx and no power limit stays very cool underload 68c and idle 36c with Titan Xp stars wars edition on a asrock gaming phantom the best air cooler for this case is the black ridge over L12 ghost edition
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 4 жыл бұрын
Wow you rate the black ridge over the l12!?! I have both and didn’t even bother trying the black ridge as it wasn’t that great in my k39. What fan are you using with it? My 9700 is a non k so running at 4.5ghz all cores

My ram sticks are probably 5mm to 1cm higher than the vengeance lpx. Do you think the l12 will still fit, or would I need to switch to the lpx?
@MashITTech

There is a few mm clearance between the heatsink and my ram so if its 5mm I am pretty sure it would fit but if its over that I think you will have to go a difference route

With the undervolted gpu and cpu I have no issues with temps at all and the systems runs really quietly as the fans don’t need to ramp up as the temps are good! So far I have been incredibly impressed with it

sounds good to me but im just wondering if a 3000 series would fit in it and wouldnt have any tempt issue. I just checked some channels with a 3080 founders edition were having temp problem in the gpu due to the motherboard tray covering the gpu fan.

hi, I have a very similar system (Ryzen 3600, EVGA 1070Ti and SF600, otherwise the same). can you please share some idle and load temps? Im very curious. my CPU temps jump between 45-60 with undervolt and the GPU sits at 41°C with 20% fan and easy 55°C + with passive fan curve. all for this at idle. room temp 21.5°C extra data would be much appreciated! cheers, and enjoy your build, the black Ghost is slick!

do you mean the new 3080's? if so I am sure there will be a few twin slot cards that will fit. EVGA usually always makes a decent 2 slot version. Hi mate! How much did you undervolt your gpu and how much would you say the one exhaust bottom fan helps with gpu temps?
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 4 жыл бұрын
The 120mm makes a decent difference as it actually pulls a lot of the air straight out the bottom of the case and the rest of the hot air radiates out the top. My 2080 super is running at 1800mhz @ 0.825mv. The system is whisper quiet with my gpu and cpu undervolt, it is soooo much quieter than a dan a4 I had

@@MashITTech Ok great, I just ordered the same case fan as you used in this video. Im running an evga rtx2080ti black on my ghost s1 as stock right now and the temps max out at 82C with case fans running at 60%. Im hoping to achieve better thermals with the extra case fan and undervolting to make it more silent during stress. Do you got any tips on how to find the best voltage for me?

After much research I don't think it can handle a 105w cpu like the 5900x. gpu length is also limited. i wanted to run an msi/asus rtx 3070 (the quietest 3070s) but they won't fit this case. it could probably handle a 5600x and an rx6800 though.
@MashITTech
@MashITTech 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there is always limitations in these cases, the EVGA 2080 super was a good fit in this case and ran without issue with my 9700 cpu, not sure I would want to try a much heavier load though. I am currently trying to put together a high end Dan a4 atm and I am struggling as that is even more limiting
