Is the 5 4070 still a good first gaming laptop to go for in 2025? Found one for £1500 and I'm tempted.

I had the 1TB Crucial P310 but I switched to the 2TB WD. The "feel" is the same but the TBW is hugely different. Whyle the 1TB Crucial has a TBW of 220TB the 2TB WD is around 1.2k TBW which is a massive difference.

I recently bought a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with an Intel 13700HX and RTX 4060 and I'm thinking about upgrading my RAM from 16GB to 32GB since it's always half full and I usually run out of VRAM while gaming. I was hoping it would compensate for the low VRAM capacity to some extent (I'm aware it can never replace actual VRAM, but it might still be better than nothing). My question is: how much RAM will be allocated to the GPU as shared GPU memory after I upgrade the RAM? The laptop currently shows 8GB shared from RAM.

I got my m18 r2 yesterday to replace my now dated area 51m. It’s bigger and stays cooler. I love it. And going from a 2070 to 4080 is so nice. Also great for doing my schoolwork as I’m now spending a lot of time on ArcGis

Great video. I am looking for recommendations. I am traveling a lot and want to get a new device by March. My budget is $800 so I am looking to choose between Legion GO S 32 GB, ally X, or steamdeck OLED. I mainly play indie games on the game. Core keepers, terraria, and personally I don’t like 3D or triple A games. I have a PS5. I don’t like fan noise, and really don’t like temperature get above 90C. I was going to get the new Go S with 32GB but saw a review that would have a thermal problem. Can you confirm it and I appreciate your opinion. Thanks and subscribed.

Have the original Go, just threw in a TeamGroup MP44 4TB 2280 and doing a reinstall. I LOL when I saw the Go S cardboard stand thinking they were mocking the other branded handheld that had one, then I saw it didn't have a kickstand itself......

I got the Legion 7 pro Gen 9 weeks ago and this video makes me so happy seeing how close it is in performance to the version that costs twice as much. I've loved using it everyday and I feel great that I got value for money and only wished they let the fingerprint power button remain. Amazing video and you've earned my like and subscription.

I had and old Yoga 7 Slim with a Ryzen 5800h, but the hinge for the screen broke, the plastic the screws go into on the base (back of the keyboard section) came off, meaning a repair would require a new palm rest area. My concern is that these new machines are designed the same. Neve thought I'd consider Intel over AMD ever again after the rubbish they've churned out for the last 5 years either!

So I recently got a m18 R2 I’m not a huge huge gamer but I like my brands Alienware And I travel & camp a lot I was thinking about trading it back in for a x16 thoughts???? I like the rgb lights and thumb pad on the X Do u think I should save the 200 for the difference or spend the money to swap

I would like to know if the 32GB Ram in some way compensate the lack of CPU/GPU power in relation to the Legion Go1 which had just 16GB.

I ran across this case a few months ago, but it's always out of stock on their website, and Amazon wants twice the price. I like it because it takes some of the smaller two fan GPUs like the one you used, and the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 TI Windforce OC both had a 16GB version but hard to find or get. The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Windforce 2X 12 GB will fit as well not to mention a slightly larger cooler. I will use the newer B850 version of this mobo with 9900X but would lover to hear more about your fan settings to keep it cool and quiet when I build... GREAT VIDEO

By how many hours (?) and minutes (?) does the battery life of the P1 Gen7 decrease in Performance Mode? I’m looking for a laptop with a great keyboard, a bright display (at least 500 nits), excellent battery life (at least 8 hours with the display at ~80%), quiet operation on battery, and no performance losses when running on battery. I thought I had found the perfect laptop with the P1 Gen7, but the review mentioning such massive performance losses in Balance Mode and loud fans-which several people on the internet are complaining about-has really dampened my enthusiasm, and I’m leaning away from purchasing it. What’s your take? Is there any information available on long-term use? I am a hardcore office user: I usually have around 6-10 Word or Excel or PowerPoint documents open, about 60-90 tabs in Edge, 6-8 other programs, all spread across 2-3 virtual desktops. How much lag can I expect?

Out of curiosity I just run Geekbench 6 on my laptop, to see the difference. My CPU benchmark gives me 858 single core and 2890 multi. It's a 4C/8T cpu, the i7 4710HQ. Interesting comparison.
