I love the guys who talked about the song and didn't care about the video. That's why modern pop music has become unmelodic, boring based on simple structures made with music tracking software and powered by autotune . It's more important what happens in a video, how the artist looks like and how many followers someone has. That's why Phil Collins once said if - "If I had started my career today, I wouldn't have been noticed by anybody.

Exactly!! Now I'm a Black man that always loved This Record and Toto as a group. These kids was acting like the video was racist?? If they would watch it again they will see the book of Africa was never burned. A Black guy with a spear knocked over a bookshelf that hit a lighted kerosene lamp which ignited the books. But the book of Africa never caught fire. The lead singer was sitting on a bigger version of the book at the end. I mean these kids today is always jump to conclusion. Even if the book of Africa caught fire it was because of the Black guy that threw the spear, not because of anyone in the band.

This record and Toto was a hit back in the day. As a Black person I never even seen the video or thought anything about it. Matter of fact I didn't even watch it this time, I was just listening to the record. But I have to see it again to see what everyone is talking about. Okay I watch it again,, A Black guy throws a Spear and hit the bookshelf that knocked a lighted kerosene lamp over and books started burning. The book of Africa didn't burn,, He was sitting on a bigger version of the book at the end. You did not see anyone from the band light a match or anything to start burning those books. Plus most you were dancing? Now you're going to complain about it at the end?? All I can say is watch it again like I did.
