Sewing machine Bernette 330;
This is an older model Bernette sewing machine, I don't know what year it is from, it was found at a salvage yard, it was completely immobile, it is very likely that it has not worked for years, it seems to me that the first owner was not at all familiar with sewing machines, a huge amount of wound thread on the shuttle hook 😃 , over the years the main button of the programmer got stuck, the machine was fixed, lubricated and we can see how it works.

@@MasinskiKutak unfortunately yes. I have had health issues and cannot walk at he moment, so have not been able to try to clean it out properly. I am having trouble with thread getting stuck somewhere while sewing and then it just tears the thread and the machine stops. It’s also difficult finding a service nearby that could help me with it. I appreciate your asking about it. Thank you!

I found one of these at the weekend and the only thing wrong with it is the stitch length dial is a bit stiff but thinking this is probably because it hasn't been used for ever. Looks like it has been stored away. Definitely feels a little easier as I use it but still bit hard on my wrists!

It seems that this is their shortcoming, with this example in the video clip, the upper button of the programmer was very stiff, I remember that I had a hard time fixing that problem. Try to lubricate the inside and outside with a slight heating, the best option would be the complete construction of the button, detailed cleaning of the bearing and lubrication, now I don't know how ready you are for that, maybe it's a job for a good technician.

I have had a Bernette 330 for almost 40 years. Recently had it cleaned and serviced and was told there are cracks in a plastic selector gear. Works fine now but when it fails completely there are no replacement parts for it. Can you tell me where this gear is located in the machine? I just bought another machine to hopefully use for parts.

As with most home sewing machines, the motor is nothing special, I don't know the exact power, it is usually around 75-80W. Sewing machines that have electronics usually have a stronger needle penetration. I haven't tested how it goes sewing over multiple layers of fabric.

My feed dogs seem to be stuck in a lowered position. Do you know how to fix this on this model?.

There are two possible situations for you. first maybe the feed dog is turned off, I can't remember where and how it turns off, look for the user manual on the Internet, the second situation is a mechanical failure, and the feed dog has failed, in that case you will have to visit the first service for sewing machines.
