I had my very first epiphany regarding monotheism while staring at equilevel "ya allah"/"ya mohammed". Even as a young man it struck me as wrong to put them at the same level or to call upon Mohammed. Pay no attention to those shocked hearing music mixed over adhan. I bet you these same people would find it awkward and problematic to pray in a language other than Arabic.

*PROCLAIMING PROPHETHOOD AND TEACHINGS* The Dabestan-e Mazaheb, a 17th century work on the religious beliefs in India during the time claims a sect called the Sádakíahs who followed Musaylima existed then. The work chronicles the alleged teachings of Musaylima according to an informant belonging to the group. At the Mughal ruler Akbar's council of religions, a discussion of Musaylima religion also took place with the help of its priests. According to the account of Musaylima in the Dabestan-e Mazaheb, he taught 3 daily prayers to God, facing any direction. He criticized Muslims for selecting the Ka'aba as the direction of prayers, arguing that God is not limited to one direction. Musaylima declared that the Ka'aba was not the House of God, because an all-powerful God has no house. Musaylima said fasting should be at night instead of daytime during Ramadan. He prohibited circumcision. Musaylima considered men and women equal, and allowed premarital sex. Musaylima prohibited polygamy and cousin marriage. Musaylima declared that any slave who converted to his religion would become free. Musaylima stated that Iblis did not exist, because a fair and merciful God would not allow a being like Iblis to throw people into error. *Musaylima also said it was wrong to include his name or any prophet’s name in worship to God.* Musaylima, who is alleged as having been a skilled magician by Muslim historians, dazzled crowds with miracles. He could put an egg in a bottle; he could cut off the feathers of a bird and then stick them on so the bird would fly again; and he used this skill to persuade the people that he was divinely gifted. Musaylima shared verses purporting them to have been revelations from God. Thereafter, some of the people accepted him as a prophet alongside Muhammad ﷺ. Gradually the influence and authority of Musaylima increased with the people of his tribe. He gathered an army of 40,000 followers. He also took to addressing gatherings as a messenger of Allah like Muhammad ﷺ did, and would compose verses and offer them, as Qur'ænic revelations. Al-Tabari in his History of the Prophets and Kings chronicles that Musaylima also proposed to share power over Arabia with Muhammad ﷺ. On 10 Hijri, he wrote to Muhammad ﷺ: "From Musaylimah, Messenger of God, to Muhammad, Messenger of God. Salutations to you. I have been given a share with you in this matter. Half the earth belongs to us and half to the Quraish. But the Quraish are people who transgress." Muhammad ﷺ, is said to have replied: "From Muhammad, the Messenger of God, to Musaylimah, the arch-liar. Peace be upon him who follows (Allah's) guidance. Now then, surely the earth belongs to Allah, who bequeaths it to whom He will amongst his servants. The ultimate issue is to the Allah-fearing."

However, I can't seem to find anything regarding slavery, except those sunnis that use hadith and always do mental gymnastics to explain how it is moral to have sex slaved (even though it is never said in the qur'an and they misinterpret it always) and never give a clear cut explanation. I was wondering if you could explain how the system worked, it would be of great help.

peace, Slavery was a way of life when the Quran was revealed, and the Quran says that righteousness is freeing of slaves. [2:177] Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in GOD, the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveling alien, the beggars, and to free the slaves; and they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they keep their word whenever they make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and war. These are the truthful; these are the righteous. [9:60] Charities shall go to the poor, the needy, the workers who collect them, the new converts, to free the slaves, to those burdened by sudden expenses, in the cause of GOD, and to the traveling alien. Such is GOD's commandment. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise. [90:10] Did we not show him the two paths? [90:11] He should choose the difficult path. [90:12] Which one is the difficult path? [90:13] The freeing of slaves.

This is a stretch brother. The Quran doesn't define Shirk as you do. This isn't at all idolizing. If you read the Quran in the Masjid you'll be mentioning other names that are mentioned. The definitions were directly from the verses of Quran. [72:18] The places of worship belong to GOD; do not call on anyone else beside GOD. Having thought about what you said, I must say that I appreciate what you're trying to get at, but I kind of disagree with it. Just because the name of the Prophet is on the wall doesn't mean people are worshipping him. I think you are being too harsh, saying that they are all worshipping Satan because of what's on the wall. It's not true. People go there to worship Allah, not Satan. And also, nobody is worshipping a picture of the prophet or even the calligraphy of the prophet's name. Everybody is still only worshipping Allah alone, while they are there. Maybe you just don't like them and that's the problem. Why is his name on the wall? Because the Quran mentions that there will be intercession by the believers for other believers on the day of judgement, as a sign of respect and testimony for them. And of course the Prophet is a good enough person to do that. And I'm not saying he saves them from hellfire. I'm just saying he will be given permission by Allah to intercede. That's why his name is on the wall and so I think that's fine. I think you're reading too much into it and you're being too extreme

Yes, we are not supposed to worship other than God, but we are also not supposed to commit shirk (association). @@QuranTalk Maybe you have a point about, don't put the names of Allah and Muhammad on the same level. Maybe that's wrong, but I'm also not sure about this, because it's very widespread and ultimately it's the intention that matters. You would have to ask scholars for the reason so many mosques do this and if you can say it's Haram... But I think maybe it's because both names are simply part of the religion and what's important is people's intentions. I don't think anybody in a mosque has the intention to pray to the Prophet Muhammad, even if his name is on the wall. Everybody knows that's shirk and so nobody does that. Most people don't even celebrate his birthday. And when you pray, you say Allahu Akbar, not Muhammadu Akbar. If they said that, then yes, you'd definitely have a point. But they don't ever say that, do they? So that's why I think maybe you just have your own ideology and it clashes with most people's and that's the real problem

@@oatmiser3110 Is it illegal to mention Muhammad's name when he's mentioned in the Quran and he's referred to as the prophet or messenger a thousand times and it says that God reaches out to him and it tells you to obey him etc etc... No wonder people mention his name in mosques! I'm not surprised about that. What could be wrong with that? The Quran does the same. I'm just surprised this guy is saying, the moment you mention his name, it becomes a shirk. CLEARLY nobody is bowing down to the prophet in mosques, even if his name is on the walls. Where's the shirk? The Quran says it's shirk when you find it distasteful to mention God's name without associating it with somebody else. Is that what every sunni does? Really

I followed the instructions to get to the discord discussion. I listened to an audio stream for maybe 30m, 2-2-24 (c. 17 h. >video release) Part of their discussion included two male participants trying to persuade a female that there is no sunnah. The Qur'an mentions sunnah, the derek, the way, in S33:62, 35:42-43, 48:23. Sunnah is not an innovation, referring back to S3:119, from the earlier scriptures we have, Exodus 33:12-13, Acts 9:1-2, 13:10, 14:16, 16:17, 18:25-26, 19:8-9, 23, 22:4, 24:14, the latter sometimes in connection with hanif/εὐθύς/ישר. Video is interesting.

The word masjid is commonly understood to be a place of worship or mosque. But I think it means something else. سجد means to humble, submissive, lowly. Prostrating is an act of sujood. Masjid means those who are submissive. The word "muslim" commonly understood to mean those who submit, come from the word سلم salam, it means peace or secure. Muslim means those who are in peace or secured.

You: "...Muslim means those who are in peace or secured." Truth: Torah first defines the word, muslim, through the prophets from Adam down to Yeshua ben Miriam. Disclaimer: If you reject the former prophets by ignoring the writings preserved then Allah will not guide you straightways.

@ 10:35 It's not "ayyuhaN an-nabi" The words are "ayyuhaa an-nabi" But when you say it normally and linked together, you would say, "ayyuhan-nabi". So don't put both things together. You can't link it and then say the definite article again. That makes no sense. Lol

I don't mean bad to you and i understand you mean good and i agree with you on the writing on the walls, and i also agree with you on the level of which some of the sunnah raising the books of hadith to the level of the quran which in my opinion is wrong and I believe that we can find everything in our religion in the quran alone but we are just lazy to look for it and today we lost a lot of the understanding of the quran by which we can find everything we do including the prayers we do today exactly in the quran and that will need us to reverse engineering everything (by looking for every part of everything we do) and find it in the quran , but look at the following verses in the Quran (31) also there are a lot of ayas about the degree of the prophet to allah swt and how allah choose him over other mankind and how he is sent as a mercy from god. believing in the prophet is part of the religion as with believing in him you believe in all the prophets before him and you believe in allah swt whom sent them with the books. آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ۝ with that being said I don't mean we should venerate the prophet to the level of worshiping as the prophet pbuh is a human being. in the first aya allah swt order us in the quran to pray on the prophet and say salam on him, and that is why in our prayer in al tashahud we say al salam on the prophet and we say o allah pray on muhamed and the family of muhamed and that is in accordance to the order of allah and by which is part of the mandatory prayer (الصلاة المفروضة) I am just afraid on you and other muslims following that train of thought in wanting to worship allah alone into making a grief sin which is mentioned in the following ayas إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَ اللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيَقُولُونَ نُؤْمِنُ بِبَعْضٍ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٍ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذُوا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلًا ۝ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ حَقًّا وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا ۝ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلَمْ يُفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ أُولَئِكَ سَوْفَ يُؤْتِيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا

NO “ladies’HIJAB” found in the Quran. The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but not for ladies. Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found) In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBAB over themselves…” in Quran 24.31 - “… Khimar over the Jayb..” The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31 - Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING, it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc. There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran, transliteration of Quran 24.31: “yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna” [Plurals : khumur, juyoob] Quran 24.31 (see the part of the verse they say has hijab ) // *..put forth the Khimars OVER THE JAYBs…*// KHIMAR = COVERING and JAYB just means OPENING - like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb To verify from the Quran check this example in //Quran 28.32 (part) “…. yadaka fee jayb’ika …”. // “… put your hand in your Jayb..” (clearly a pocket or opening in the dress) (or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is. Look at where the importance is in the verse: “COVERING over the Jayb” - but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB - by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations - gradually shifting the importance of COVERING the Jayb - giving importance away from the Jayb seems like distraction from the main emphasis. - AND also these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings - please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from? We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran - in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran - see where the word is used again. QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings). They should know when the same root word is used for intoxicants even then it’s used for “COVER” - - any intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ability INSIDE THE MIND - - Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head. How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands? They’re Spreading culture and calling it religion - They took the desert clothing that is needed in sand storms and called it religion OTHER religious groups were ALREADY wearing it in the desert. IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran AND they should not add words in translations. JILBAB: Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED” So the condition is to be recognised : how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully? - So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran. Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed. Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY. “… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “ -- //Quran 33.59 O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBAB over themselves . In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED and not be HARASSED. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful// -- Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also. - Some of them will not VERIFY what is in the Quran - word by word. And you may get to see how they will jump to start calling IGNORANT and names to the person showing them the research.
