Sorry to hear for your loss Ohm. I just lost my dad to stage 4 liver and brain cancer on Dec. 1st 2024. And it was the same thing we was more preparing for our mom to pass before our dad did as my mom is in hospice care at home. And my dad was rarely ever sick 😢 Not handling his death well.

And it was the same in the sense that it wasn’t expected for em to pass first cause he was always the healthier one between my parents. It was out of the blue how fast he went. I took to em to the ER for another health issue that he needed to have taken care of and wasn’t life threatening just painful. Then they did the MRI on em and they tell us oh he has stage 4 liver cancer! Followed by a few days later that it had spread to his brain and then on the day he died it had spread to 75% of his body 😭

But the blessing is being able to grow old and see your kids grow into the fine people you have always been proud of. This is what my parents have told me. I imagine this won’t dissolve the pain of loss as some miracle cure… nor should it. Mourning is involuntarily given to those that truly mattered. Thoughts are with you.

The smell maybe from recycled plastic that was already recycled once before. They will put it with what they call virgin plastic. After I retired from the medical field I worked in a plastic plant part time we made bird feeders and different kinds of gates. Sometimes when they use recycled plastic it can make foods or drinks taste nasty.

Thank you for being you Ohm! I also wanted people to know because it's not common knowledge, there are also prison inmates out helping fight the fires. We all want a better world and even if people made mistakes they are doing their best to help out, even sacrifice in their lives if need be.
