Quick correction: The rock found in the breach of demise is also found in the tempest gulch, near SKULL LAKE, and near malanya spring, home of a diety who can RESURECT THE DECEASED. In any case, these places all seem to have something to do with death...

Limestone is often made of organic material, mainly debris from plankton settling to the bottom of a body of water. So it’s actually full of death itself.
@ShadowSkyX3 жыл бұрын
The strange thing is the collisium has similar puckered look in the rock but it seems to be a different kind of stone compared to anywhere else in hyrule. Not even the castle looks like it. There's only one place under several names that shares the use of masks and rituals, change of appearance, cracks in the ground - multiple instances preceded by earthquakes, and upside down triforce: dark world, termina, lorule, and quite possibly twilight realm. There's usually a portal to to each of these places, whether you fall into a chasm or walk through the mirror of twilight. All of them mirror characters or take similar paths even if how they end up getting there isnt exactly the same.

This completely unrelated, but here is what Van Ruto should have been. It would be a shark, and Hyrule could have deep underwater areas that the Divine beast would traverse. This would also make it more mobile, which is my biggest problem with divine beasts outside of Mehdo. It would also represent the Zoe’s species better, and It would give us multiple layers of Hyrule.

I actually have had my own theory about what that rock is for a little while now. It's not super researched or anything, just an idea I had, but it's based off of my observation of the Coliseum which I believe also has the same rock around it. I never thought much of it until I was frequently visiting the Colosseum and scaling the walls (it's my favorite place to farm shooting stars) and I realized how odd it was that it was surrounded by this rock, almost like it was partially excavated and they stopped for some reason before uncovering the bottom all the way... or like it was partially covered after the Coliseum was built. Basically I think that the rock is calcified Malice, if you look at still active malice it has pits and bubbles similar to the "bone rock" and also tends to arc out in partial circles at the edges. I believe the breach could have been calcified by Hylia herself and the Coliseum calcification may have happened when Zelda awoke her sealing power, which would also explain the odd patterns that they're frozen in. Like I said it's pretty much just an observation based theory and I haven't done any deep digging or anything, but I'd love to hear what you think of it. Hope you enjoy the idea, and thanks for posting these videos! I always love to discuss and listen to anything Zelda related.

I took geology which was fun... we were told that limestone often forms where freshwater and saltwater meet. Where remains from life forms living in those environments pile up over time. What's neat is that marine fossils are often found in limestone...and that's called fossiliferous limestone. You can test if the 'rock' is limestone by using a certain acid or... just use vinegar. If it dissolves/fizzes, it's limestone. You can find quite a bit of limestone where land was once covered by water billions of years ago. Also keeping track of the layers of sediment and different 'rocks' helps to find fossils because you could calculate the different eras. Pleistocene, Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic etc. Tldr: that fissure old af.

If you think about it, in age of calamity the breach was filled with guardians and such sheikah technology, meaning that the Sheikah themselves buried their technology there. Maybe they did it with the explicit purpose of Ganon taking over the technology. But why would the Sheikah do this? Simple, the specific Sheikah that were forced to bury their technology on the ground by the Royal Family were actually predecessors to the Yiga Clan. They buried the technology at the place closest to the place where The Curse of Demise started, in order for Ganon (someone connected the curse) be able to more easily corrupt the technology with malice.
