Great vid Steven. At 1:46 you put in a black fill Colour. I see in other affinity vids from others ( non iPad) there’s an invert command. Isn’t there one for iPad in this instance?

Sorry to hear that. It’s not really possible for me to help you unless I know exactly what you are doing. Maybe you’re missing a step?

To be perfectly honest, when it comes to this type of software, I really do believe you need someone sitting by your side to instruct you all the way, like in the old days before all this video tutorial dribble. I'm only middle aged, but I'm slow to learn things and these videos just don't help. I'm uninstalling this software and going back to Snapseed as it is far easier to use. Affinity Photo is just too complicated for me.

You sound frustrated and I’m sorry about that. However, I am not paid by nor have any association with Serif, the maker of Affinity Photo. I do this on my own time for free in the hope of helping people and, based on other comments, they seem to be getting something out of it. I’m not sure why you feel like you have to vent to me. I certainly don’t regard my teaching as “dribble”. If you have an issue with the software, please take it up with the company. While you are right that this software is more advanced than some of the more basic apps out there, I did not promise it was easy. I respectfully wish you well in your hunt for something more suited to your needs.

Obviously I'm just as thick as two short planks. I just don't understand how to complete the most basic of tasks with the software, it's beyond me completely. I didn't mean any offence, like you said I am frustrated to hell with it. I'm giving up with it. I see lots of people making amazing photos with it, but obviously it's not for me, I'm too thick. No offence once again. Happy editing.
