Bobby Dickerson is the man. I love how fundamental he is. Can use that with the kids I coach as well and it not seem intimidating.

The most natural teacher who gets his students to learn and virtually teach themselves: make it seem like *they* thought of it, the point of the session. They remember that while at the plate, it’s them 🆚 9, but not really...even a base hit/no rbi helps the team. In the infield, ur a team of 1,2,3,4,5,y within a team of nine.

not gonna lie, before i thought baseball was boring as shit to watch, but watching this dude in his training/practice videos really highlights skill in baseball to a whole new level where I think I could actually watch it and not view every inning as the same thing repeated 9 times.

I played baseball my entire childhood. Still puts me to sleep watching it. The league needs to keep speeding the games up. Pitch timers, Batter stop calling for time out, less time between innings.

It’s amazing how simple it is. Go watch video of coaches coaching great high school players and the coach nows nothing they just let the kids do what ever they want and than claim that they coach that kid. If your coaching any group of kids or young adults you should watch this short video. Very simple for all levels even MLB. Good stuff.

Some nice jem's here. Shoulders square to the hitter use a "power feed" "take your left foot to it" "the retreat" and why he don't like it, "back to 2nd, outside spin" "chest towards 2nd = underhand feed" Focus on ball transfer and ball security. Sad that it took 35 years for me to hear some of these terms in this each to understand verbiage. Thanks for the video.

Essentially he's saying it's for the benefit of the SS's eyes. Everytime the SS has to see 2nd base toss it from a different point of release with a different body movement, his eyes have to adjust to that on the fly VS. his eyes/brain getting to see the same movements from 2nd base and he can focus solely on himself.

I understood what he said, make it easier for the ss to time and know how you are feeding him the ball. Be consistent, these athletes can do every-which way but if I’m the SS I want to have an idea of where and how ur throwing me the ball

Why should they already know it? Who taught them? Dad - who never played past little league? Or the college coach who's too busy worried about the numbers in his "Wins" column and recruiting the next year's class to give the individual attention necessary to develop players to their greatest potential? No. Most do NOT know it. I had to learn this while working minor league ball. I also used to help take care of that very field. Judging from the age of these kids, and Bobby being mic'd up, these are probably invited recruits or players affiliated with Ripken's camps. They are not Major Leaguers.
