I think the broadcasters were a little over the top, Miller is a beast, he is overmatching these guys, and Oakland should be very excited to have him, but they were a little disrespectful to major league hitters there. I also think that the league will come around to him a bit, as this is his first time through. Kyle Tucker hit a grand slam off a 102 Bautista fastball in the ninth to erase a 3-0 Orioles lead, that one still hurts this Orioles fan.
@toddrazor95467 ай бұрын

Wonder how fast the ball is crossing home plate using radar MLB used to measure speed for 40 years from 1975 - 2015 until MLB and statcast decided to boost speed for the fans up 4-6 mph by reading at release before gravity, spin, altitude, environmental conditions and distance kicks in and affects the top speed ? 🤔 My guess is he's a mid to upper 90's fastball maybe touching 99. or 100. I've seen millions of pitches and the hitters aren't reacting like its a pitch over 100. The catcher isn't responding like a 100+ pitch either. That being said, Miller is a good 2 pitch pitcher. Watch how hitters and catchers responded to Randy Johnson and Nolan Ryan's 100+ fastballs...not the same is it ???
