Thank you! That’s a good point and very true. In this situation Mason is doing well for the reasons you mentioned. He has a lot of experience and that football IQ is earned over time. Mason’s calculated risk is one of his biggest strengths right now and that’s all from experience. With Mason starting and Kenny backing him up, I feel the offense is in good hands this weekend. I do believe they are a close group and have seen them laughing and smiling together. They all want the ball but that’s expected. 👍

I’ve been saying the same shit since the preseason. Kenny is still a shaky pup, decent on 2 minute drills but Mason has developed well and sees the game with different eyes.

Like many fans, i really hope Mason escapes the free agent factor in signing with another team. Steelers have already lost too many other valuable players in recent years, to other teams. That’s getting really old. Mason needs to sign with us.

#2 is #7s replacement everyone from the front office up to the beginning of the Monongahela river basin knew he was the next one. Except Tomlin he is a thorn in the front office side. Tomlin needs some pom poms and a mini skirt

2 things have happened Rudy is playing better than the other 2 And it seems the offense has responded to his leadership He also seems to read the defense better QB is the toughest position on the field you have to lead and the team will either respond or it will not looks like they have responded to Rudy

You have to admit through every up and down …Mason is always steady ..mature & a pro even when he was assaulted with a helmet…or when he was basically eliminated from a supposed QB competition….he never was truly a part of. I’m certainly not rooting against Kenny ….I like him and do not think his time is up .That said the Steelers need to have a true & honest competition this off season and even bring in another arm to compete …let the best QB get the start . But for now it has to be Mason he’s the hot hand so …Let’s Go Steelers!

Fact. No matter what you think. Rudolph has been better the last 2 games than Pickett or trubisky have been any time during the season. A QB has to do more than handoffs and passes, he has to lead, and try hard and put his best effort. Trubisky is sometimes good, Pickett also BUT neither has been CONSISTENT

He seems very uncomfortable up there and he’s trying to be the “team guy” and not throw anyone under the bus. But do you really think the climate in that QB room is as great as he described. Mitch got benched for sucking and Kenny just got upstaged by the QB3. If there isn’t a lot of tension in that room, these guys aren’t human. It has to be particularly awkward for Mason. He seems to be handling it well.

It should always be competitive on the practice and game fields, but hopefully otherwise pleasant and supportive. This will be interesting. It very well could be a recipe for success…..unless money gets in the way. So maybe never mind. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Obviously if Mason didn’t get to play these last few games he’d be gone at the end of the season if an offer came in. This recent small sample size though is giving other teams a look. When you look around the league, not only do you see a lot of backup QBs starting but a lot of the starters are backup quality only. Don’t be surprised when he gets offers. And don’t forget all the hate dumb yinzer nation gave him in 2022 especially at the first preseason game when they booed the hell out of him because of their affection for Kenny. Steelers fans are some of the worst fans out there. Most aren’t real fans. They aren’t intelligent enough to be good fans.
