Haters are so funny. I guess they don't like people that are way more awesome then them. He will never be like Tommy Emmanuel? Isnt he almost 60? The kid has time to get as good, but why even compare? Because he plays classical gas here? Give me a break. You are the emotionless people here

Let's put it this way...I have been playing this tune for about 30 years now...and this is one of the cleanest versions I have ever heard! Most people (Emanuel) really hurry this piece along...but this kid plays it right at the pace it can be pushed to and oh so smooth! Just perfection in motion 👍
@ChrisDarby804 жыл бұрын
For those comparing to the Tommy Emmanuel version, He's playing the original Mason Williams version, which is a different arrangement and is played much much slower than the Tommy Emmanuel version, and even saying that, he's playing the Mason version a tad faster than its originally played in parts.
@jefferyfarr6542 Жыл бұрын
A few more years and the emotions in this song will come out of him. He is terrific and a little fast. But with more heart ache in his life he will slow down and show the true emotion of this piece. I wish only the best for him and his music.

God damn, everywhere I go there is someone bitching about something. This cover was phenomenal. This song, to me, has a skeleton, but the beauty of it is that everyone who plays it has their own way of doing it. Him playing at a different tempo with a capo is HIS way of doing it. Tommy Emmanual has HIS very improvised way of doing it. Everyone does it different and it always sounds amazing. Leave the kid alone because I'm going to assume that roughly 80% of the people complaining about it can't play anything.

@henrycodm8968 жыл бұрын
Love the hammer on in the last chord. I understand why he's using the capo now, he's lessening the booming sound of the bass which can be a little strong sometimes in this song, and doing more of a Dust in the Wind version, quite nicely. However, near the end he does lose that indigenous flamenco flair that makes this song great and unique. Love him, though.

Sungha Jung strikes me as a great musician who is - not yet - a *performer*. He's playing the song to do something beautiful without too much thought of an audience. It's on multiple viewings of the clip, for me, that his passion increasingly shines through. As for the tempo, I sympathize with some who may simply be accustomed to hearing the song slower, and it's absolutely true that faster is not *always* better, but I think this interpretation is wonderful. Just my humble opinion.
