Great video. I'm a 30 yr Georgia Mason, Ocilla #134. Not in Shrine. But I am also a TKE like you. I was a West Georgia College, Xi Theta Chapter. Enjoy your videos and travels. YITL

Hey, Tony, been loving your videos. I’ve been commenting on a few of them. I use to be a Shriner a while back when I first came into masonry, and I love their philanthropy with the hospitals. I felt you underplayed the partying, the Shriners do they’re definitely the playground of masonry. Probably the main reason I did join the Shrine was for the social aspect. I stopped doing Shriners because of having two small children at home and it was difficult to attend all the social events they had but I’ve always hoped I would go back some day. Thanks for doing these videos.

Fair enough about the hospitals. I have actually been to 6 of them myself.

Hello Noble, the new name Shriners International sucks, they never should have changed it. They had a good name.

I like the new name. The old one was confusing and cumbersome.

Do they have degree work like SR or YR ? I enjoy the blue lodge work and story line. Wanted to know if they have something similar

They do have an initiation, but no degree work.

I work at an old folks home and one of the residents had a picture of him in that fez, I thought he was a muslim so I asked him and he told me about this.

Why are most Shriners Catholics?
@CoolestLife9 ай бұрын
Hmmmm, not my experience. Christian yes, catholic, not so much. The majority that I know are Baptist or Methodist.
@skylerhowie92088 ай бұрын
I dont know the accuracy especially given the Catholic stance on Masonry. You can be Catholic if you are a Mason (including Shriners), but you are not supposed to be a Mason if you are a Catholic. So to my best understanding most aren't Catholic, but that is more an issue the Catholic church has and not anything Masonry has an issue with.

When you say "it's more relax then other free mason structures", I really can hear "we do worship satan and lucifer through sorcellery and black mass as well, but wearing clown noses and goofy shoes". What a difference😅!
@CoolestLife3 ай бұрын
The difference is you don't know what you don't know. Masonry is NOT a religion. So we don't worship Satan, Jesus, Allah, etc. Because it isn't a religion. Yes we have an altar with religious text in the room, normally just a bible. So do college fraternities, masonry is a fraternity also.

@@CoolestLife This is the worst part of FM: full of good fellows, not even aware of the true nature of the "secret". 20 years ago, I assisted a talk, performed by a former FM. He spent more than 30 years in one of the biggest and reknown French Lodge. And while crossing Lourdes, he decided to mock catholicism, assisting to a mass. And he felt the presence of God, left FM, and spent the rest of his life describing what occured. When he left, he was a high ranking FM (32, Scotish approved rites). Since he betrayed, he was menaced, threaten to death, crazy thing. He described rites he performed and lived. Crazy stories (magical rituals, and stuff). And above all: hatred against christianity.

@@CoolestLife USA (and Anglo saxon world in general) and Europe have really different approach regarding FM. France (my country), is a FM land (the French revolution was designed in lodges), but the hidden part is a thing. Which can only bring suspicion over what is untold, beneath. Honestly speaking, I used to be a high level bureaucrat (working in buildings named "Lumiere", lol!). And I experienced the power of those occults networks. I saw how fast it was activated to hide compromising elements for FM. I saw how strong it was regarding recruitments. And so many other things which cannot be evocated here. A hell of a thing.

@@CoolestLife kzbin.info/www/bejne/pojHqGmXg8-dnpI What the hell is that shit? Do you know that when it popped up, media counter measures were launched, to counterbalance? The daughter of former owner of this "castle" did a communiqué, stating that it was very bad since "it brings opprobe against FM". Lol. Fun fact: this clearly joins what had been described to me 20 years ago + what I collected through informal talks.

@@vincentftn2746 Couple of things I would like to address. This was one person's experience. I have heard people have bad experiences like this at work, church, and even masonry. A true mason doesn't attack or defend any religion. Mostly because WE ARE NOT A RELIGION. Just like your job/workplace. Also, there is no "moving up" in masonry except to be a Master of a lodge, a district deputy, or the Grand Master of a State. The 32nd is a Scottish Rite degree, a side appendant body of masonry like the Shriners or the York Rite and not a higher ranking. When you say "since he betrayed" things happened. DUH, go in the military and betray the organization and see what happens, they put you in jail. Freemasonry is a fraternity. If you betray the fraternity, what would you expect to happen? I don't condone any revenge, but if your betray the organization then they don't treat you as a brother anymore. As far as God. I have memorized more of the bible since becoming a mason and have grown closer to Jesus. But that is MY experience.

Well, maybe just maybe it isn't a secret society. Get it? Signs on the door, invite people in, every state has a chapter. Very bad secret keepers. LOL It is a fraternity with handshakes and passwords like every other fraternity on the planet.
