This estimator looks great it's WYSIWYG. As long as you make sure the right items are selected/viewed. Is there a tutorial for adding vendors?

+Terry Pullen Thanks Terry! I do not have a tutorial for adding Vendors, but will do so. Basically, you should be able to export your vendors from you accounting program or other (for example, I use QuickBooks and exported the list as a CSV file - currently we only use the Vendor name, so it is looking for that first column (name), but hope to expand in the next version to include purchase orders and use Vendor address, etc. I will put something together and post a link to it here - thanks again!

In the end, shouldn't you select only one face of a wall to have the estimation ?

+Efrain Galicia Hi Efrain - I have a lot of videos on my KZbin channel but no formal tutorials. I am presently building an entire series of video tutorials, building a detailed house model from the footings to trim - I will be providing the file as well when done - probably a few more weeks to do this - feel free to email me questions to john@estimatorforsketchup.com

+Estimator for SketchUp Thank you for and your comments , meanwhile have some video of how to begin to estimate and next steps? that is, how should I begin creating objects such as groups or as components

the formulas seem complicated
@EstimatorforSketchUp9 жыл бұрын
+marcin Kondratowicz Actually the formulas are just simple math -no programming language, etc. It is math I use daily as a contractor to estimate needs. For example, 6 brick per square foot (SF * 6) If it take seven bags of mortar per thousand brick, you can do simple multiplication and division, etc. to achieve the result. Of course you could take a moment to do conversions first for those items and use that in equation. What formulas are you referring to? We only have multiplication and division for simple conversion

just in general, as you said it is for contractors and other pros, not ordinary users playing around with sketchup designs...besides, components, layers, materials are also confusing in the estimate aspect....
