That is not the correct translation. Though the translation in this video is terrible, the intial few lines are correct. It does say " i am not upset with you life, i am just surprised " . This film is one of the best hindi movies for me btw.

Wohh...Another fantastic selection of song from you guys. Unfortunately the subtitles were not good...Anyways .. There are many songs on LIFE in hindi movies.But my 2 most favourites are this one by Gulzar Sahab and another one again by Gulzar Sahab called RAAH PE RAHATE HAI, from the movie NAMKEEN, again music by R D BURMAN and sung by KISHORE KUMAR.( I will sub it and post it for you to react.) If this song is all about sorrows and life's uncertainty, the other one is about breaking all the safe ways of living life and taking the daring path exploring it, with all the risks and challenges it offers. About Masoom - It's a masterpiece by Shekhar Kapoor.Its all about the human relationships and emotions. I don't want to reveal much to you. Outstanding performances by Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah.

Deniz is absolutely right. R D Burman falls into the category of Superstar music composers and entire decade of 70s belonged to him! However, his successful musical journey continued till his death in early 90s. Almost all of his songs were superhit including those from his last film. But, Deniz is wrong when he thinks that Naseeruddin is not the real father of this cute boy in the song. I'm not revealing the story! To know, you have to watch the movie, in which you will also find Urmila Matondkar as a child artist, who you have seen in film Rangeela. Also, one thing you both haven't noticed is that throughout the song Nasser is not singing, but the song is played in background! This is one of the styles of how a song is picturized in Indian cinema. And, Shekar Kapur is a fond of exploring every genre of cinema, but has given only a few films yet! ☕☕

The subtitles don't convey the right feeling. It is not "agitated by your questions" but should be " troubled". Not " surprised" but also something like " troubled".... very difficult to convey the exact shade of this... troubled, sad..

This video is incomplete without female version (Lata Mangeshkar). It has different perspective. Male version is family man (happily married, father of two girl child) comes to know about having child from brief affair. And the female version is about how to deal with it. Especially when you know the kid living with you under the same roof is from another woman.

Sorry guys, the wrost subs to watch this classic. The song isn't lyrics, it works in the realm of poetry with metaphors. Life itself as metaphor. This is as close you can get to classical urdu poetry in film music. Gulzar and RD Bruman just aced it. Poetry works as poetry does on the philosophical level, which entirely lost on the subs. As they say " Lost in Translation" and here its a classic case of "Lost in subs".

The story is very intriguing. The child is his own from another women whom he has not married but only one night relation while on business trip. His wife did not know this. In fact he did not know about the kid and forgot everything and very happy with his family, lovely wife and 2 sweet girls. Then all hell break loose. One night relation women died and she did not have anyone, so she sends him a letter to tell him about their son, and take care of him. Watch the full movie.

The speaciality of RD burman the most versatile music composure of india , is that that he keeps changing beats through out the song and is able to create medlody nicely with changing pace. It is is really very difficult. Great example is "pyar hame kis mod pe le aaya" what a wonderful use of change in beats to create melody.
