Here the Phantom just runs offstage for the vanish instead of a trapdoor. Despite this, if you keep your eyes on the spot where he vanishes, it looks like he disappears into thin air! It's so cool!

I watched it today on broadway and I wanted to take a video so badly but I was too scared I would be caught. The music when the chandelier went up was perhaps a my favorite part! Where did you watch it? I see the cast is different.

I love Phantom, both the production and the movie. I've seen it hundreds of times and have everything memorized and my one love is with the production how the Chandelier crashes onto the stage at Intermission, and in the Masquerade upon returning back, the "New Chandelier" is actually sung about in this song. In the movie they don't make that distinction and it made me sad. lol. In the production they also sing the 'Think of it, a secret engagement.." lines. Some things are just more magical in person I believe.

I love the staircase version better than that stupid mirror version. It looks too crowded and cheap with the mirrors. I wonder how long the final show will be since you know all the past giant leads will prob be there or maybe the following night when its just invited guest and they might record it for streaming at a later date to try and bring it back after the renovations ?

This orchestra is 27 pieces. I just saw it last week and counted out the orchestra members in my Playbill. I know London's orchestra got nerfed but I don't remember by how much.

I've been replaying the last part over and over because I saw it twice on our trip to NYC last week and was looking for a trap door the second time and couldn't figure it out. Then I remembered that there were several characters with capes so I figured he got covered by one of them to help run off?

they removed the trapdoor a while back! i believe during hugh panero’s run about a decade ago. if my memory serves correct, it was malfunctioning quite a bit (same with the magic candle in final lair) and i believe hugh got hurt once and they cut it for safety. both got changed on broadway but remained in the new west end version!

At this point? That it's been 6 months without a peep from the Phantom and all Christine can think of is what he'd say if he knew. You'd be annoyed too, if your SO kept thinking of their current relationship in terms of their previous one.

I disagree. Raoul is clearly the interloper here. Things were going well between The Phantom and Christine. Then, BOOM! Raoul shows up, and everything falls apart in The Phantom and Christine’s relationship. You know what I mean?

@@christinedaae7323 Were they? The Phantom was hiding behind the misconception that he was Christine's father. It's only when Raoul's presence and advances triggered him into a jealous rage that he turned his destructive impulses on Christine, starting with kidnap and escalating to murder.

They are scars of a life that has lead him to write such beautiful, soul-stirring music! As for the kidnap and murder, like I said, The Phantom is just a product of his environment. That is all.

I don't blame her for being freaked out by how easily he was able to get into her head, and I definitely don't blame her for running from the guy who murdered one of her co-workers, and then later tried to murder her with a falling chandelier.
