question: my last week in WoW was skirmish week. I got the quest done (10 wins) as lock, first time in arena as demo lock. (had done a few matches as destro). I really took it on the chin at first, was just getting crushed in 2s. With 476 gear, I was almost always the target. I worked hard to use all my defensives, kite as much as I could and use all cc. I think my 2s record in skirmish was like 6-10. But in 3s, I was like 4-1. And all my 3s matches were good fights, lasted awhile, and were fun. I don't remember demo being that awful in 2s when I was going against it. What was I missing vs melee?

It’s very discouraging honestly. Soooo many matches where people quit, go afk, play amazing one round then tank the next. To sit 20 minute ques to play a fixed match feels REALLY bad. And I’m not even good. It’s not about rewards or titles or anything for me. I just want to play an honest match and have fun. And that’s really tough to find right now. This issue honestly has me more discouraged about PvP than anything else in the last 15 years. If I can’t be in control of my own destiny, good or bad, then what are we doing here?

I only PvP and I won't do shuffle anymore because of this, it's every match you actually get in, it ends short because someone leaves. Feel like shuffle should be like a bg mode rather than a rated mode so people can't mess up your rating/mmr

Season 1 DF I was a healer and the level of toxic psychos rambling their mouths poorly inbetween rounds actually made me target soft int games against people. I'd go as far as making some dps go 0-6 to really tilt the heck out of them. I did that to people who were genuine A-holes....imagine the silent people who probably do it out of spite for little to no good reason. It was that realization that made me up and quit SS altogether because just like league of legends, mixing solo players into ranked games eventually runs its course on someones brain and makes them go disco nunu levels of crazy.

Supa we need your help man. Every aspect of PvP is in shambles, and Blizz won’t lift a finger for more than sub par mmr adjustments and out of touch class tuning. Class tuning is too little too late despite feedback. MMR needs further tuning. No new BGs for 6yrs. Regular BGs and Epics are over run by Premade Communities. Every Epic BG is untuned as seasons progress leading to soloing bosses and 3 min zerge wins. The low level PvP brackets are overrun by scaled down level 70s with template stats that are wayy too strong, Twinks, and Premades. Sharding in Warmode needs adjustment. New content zones need 30% more players and Legacy Zones impacted by Chromie time need Sharding removed all together since you only see like 3 hostile players from lvl 1-70 and they’re not your lvl. Literally every area of PVP play is lacking the most basic of maintenance needs. They’ve thrown us in the trash, and with Hero Talents coming PvP is gonna be a 💩 show in TWW. Supa, I know Arena is your main squeeze but, it would be great if you’d use your platform to call out all of these issues and ask some of the other PvP content creators to join in. We’re not going to see any changes otherwise, it’s been 6yrs. With TWW coming up they’re going to have too much on their plate to fix this stuff, this is kinda our window of opportunity. I’ve been working with some other people and a few Community Council Members on the WoW Forums to try to have this stuff addressed. If anyone cares about the health of PvP overall and wants to lend a hand the post is titled “PvP Issues Organized Megathread Plea for Aid to Community Council and Blizzard”. We need all hands on deck if we want to get this stuff fixed.

It's not even just win trading. The botting this late in the season is insane. A month ago, it was something you saw rarely. Now it's every other game. Also, I'm not sure if it's cheating or I'm just missing something, but there is a plethora of people that can see through stealth from across the arena. Warriors that leap right on top of me, or casters that target me, from max range. Once is luck. Twice is a coincidence. Dozens of times now is suspicious.

You can easily track this sort of behavior these days. Just look for anomalies in people playing with/against each other and/or their w/l record against each other. This is pretty easy to do in 2024. Bliz just doesn't want to waste the man hours to set it up or server load doing it.

Removing all addons and macros is really bad call. Most addons are quality of life/ui customization addons. And macros are made to either make yourself more efficient situationally, tab targeting is pretty antiquated and arena 123/focus macros are the only way of really making the gameplay more fluid and raises skill ceiling. The issue is there’s too much keybind bloat right now, and PvP plays more like PvE’ing and just reacting to cooldowns. Too much utility, mobility, and micro cc too. It’s more effective in solos rn to just barely cc at all and just push as much damage as you can with every gcd you can. 3s is still okay, just need better comp/spec balancing; and I wish the game wasn’t so focused around just reacting to and rotating cooldowns right now. And sure some addons just screaming at you when a cooldown is used is excessive, but at the end of the day it’s not necessary to push high ratings. And I’m not gonna complain about cd tracker addons, I don’t even really use them and haven’t for a while; but I’d still rather just have those than have to have everyone break out the in game timer and having to manually stop and start it again to track kicks.

^this comment I’d be down as well, if the base UI was as customizable as addons are like WA, Elvui, Plater, etc. Blizz only just got to the customization level equivalent of Bartender… The only thing I think that’s needed addon wise for PvP is omnibar, and gladius outside of the base UI to be able to play at peak rating efficiency tbh. And most PvE’ers are hard crutched by addons like DBM just telling them how to do mechanics mid encounter tbh. Things like DBM and specific WA’s that make you not have to be spatially aware of mechanics and other player interactions in PvE and PvP, I would say shouldn’t be in the game if anything; but all other addons are honestly fair game quality of life improvements for the most part.

Last time I quit I had 0 rated Ret paladins in my 2400 lobbies after they got nerfed to the ground and were useless. You can't nerf a top performing class and expect the players to be able to play at the same rating. Last time I played 1800 players were playing like 1400 players so they even fixed the ratings to make low rated players feel like they are progressing when in reality they are not. Also noticed macro cheats and win trading the last time I played a few months ago.

You say you don’t understand why. But it’s because the good rewards aren’t locked behind playing the game. They’re locked behind winning the game at the highest ratings and some people don’t want to sweat or work hard or whatever you want to call it. Personal achievement is great but when the game is so wildly imbalanced and you enjoy playing maybe 1-3 things and they’re not great without a solid team to back you up on top of being mechanically difficult to just play…. Especially this season where the only new rewards introduced for grinding PvP is practically just from getting glad, it’s kinda hard to want to play PvP in wow at the moment due to balance issues, MMR issues, gameplay issues like micro cc, mobility, utility, button bloat, and ms effects being handed out to every fotm spec like candy on Halloween. And right now the game is all about trading cool downs, it’s barely even really about positioning and awareness anymore, especially in solo shuffle where the is little to no coordination; it’s practically whoever opens first and pumps the most damage within the shortest period of gcd’s wins. And with PvP slowly becoming more and more unbalanced and core gameplay centered entirely about M+ and how that’s affecting class identities and balancing, PvP has long since been nothing like it used to be. Players like Soda and Venruki have recently touched on the blatant issues that the PvP scene has been facing for years, and the lack of interest to play that a lot of players have been feeling.

You get in cord, queue at the same time, have a blast. Sometimes you queue into another community and it is an actual EPIC battleground. Queueing at the same time isn't against the rules, and if blizz thinks it is a problem, they can make premade ebgs, which i would LOVE. Don't count on it though since there hasn't been a new ebg in like a decade...they don't give a shit about the game mode.

@@becjed1701 a colleague in the group takes group control, the cheats automatically cast dispel on him and etc... they only put a few functions for the cheats to perform, and the player is left using simpler functions manually so as not to be caught, I have friends who use this, all rate Hi, I haven't played wow in five years, players' gameplay improves by 80% through cheats, and they don't care if this gain is due to cheats, they just use it and that's it.

You can funnel a certain player wins to get them more rating. Especially as a healer you can for sure give the dps you are trading with 3 wins, and then you get 3 games where you try together giving them up to 6 wins. Even if they once win once with you, and win all 3 against you they still go 4-2 and gain points

There are achievements tied to pvp so if you’re a player who cares about completing achievements and having them all maxed out, then there’s definitely a reason for this kind of behavior.. Wintrading Not Sure but for me Looks Like tilting or griefing and after experience 13 chars Elite Set only through solo shuffle even with season 3 glad mounts people tilt and ON purpose dont Play with someone because they did misstake make you ON purpose and this Looks very similiar to me

Win Tradeing and cheating has been around since BC Since Arena were first interduced. It was 2-3 months of normal play. Then suddenly everyone only played the top3 Wombo Combos. Soon after that you had the cheaters. Useing addons and win tradeing to get good gear Solo Shuffel just gave everyone the ability to cheat rateings with the help of only 1 healer friend. Instead of 3 extra accounts +2 friends Play lower ranks you will see this sketch gameplay and blaitend match throwing a lot more Ontop people still use auto kick addons and everything they can get. Reporting people does nothing. You cant proof this stuff.

Every game mode is full of behavior like this. The healer role has become a tool to win traders. We need pvp modes without healers being so vital and ruining the game balance of every other mode that doesnt use dampening. Bg blitz people will fight over 1 node for half the match in a draw because healers are very strong

Idk if I would consider that cheating, cheesy and tasteless? yes. Hell Blizz allows piloted accounts to push Gladiator for people who don't belong in a ranked setting to begin with. You're playing R1 players in 1400 lobbies, who aren't even the owner of the account. THAT is cheating, and to say Blizz isn't in on it all for the revenue portion would be naïve. No big company cares about the players experience, only how much the players will pay for dlc and services.

I am with you 100% that cheating and win trading is disgusting. And I know it's the end of the season and tensions are high. But this video feels like a public vent / complain (not that there is anything wrong with that). How is this Mass cheating (we saw the tweets and just the 1 example)? If you can't beat them then join them. I thought Blizzard had made leaving a solo you would lose 150 rating AND 150 mmr. They made a post about it awhile back but never implemented it. Found out 2 weeks ago from vens stream that no its not the case. So if you're going to be a 1-5 it's better to leave, lose the 150 rating and keep the MMR. Pretty much solo duo is a roll of the dice in regards to lobbies being a win rate vs not. It's initially counting cards. I wanted to test it on two of my characters to see if it is effective. Yup... it's very effective.. Say you're at 2000 rating and 2050 MMR. You're going to be 1-5, you would lose 75 rating and 75 mmr. 1925 rating and 1975 mmr. If you go your next queue and go 3-3 you'll get 0-25 rating and mmr, 1950 rating and 2k mmr. Or you can leave the first match losing 150 rating and 0 mmr. You'll be 1850 rating and 2050 mmr. Your next round you win 3-3. You'll gain 50 rating and 50 mmr. Leaving you at 2100 mmr and 1900 rating. Your next match will if you go 2-4 you'll still gain rating and lose a small amount of mmr. If you would have gone 5-1 instead of 3-3 you'll could generally 100 rating and gain like 25 mmr. It's litterally just counting cards, specs and match-up being the cards.
