@@roguesquadron521 When it comes to squadmates in ME trilogy, they nailed them. Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Mordin, Grunt... with like 2 or 3 exceptions i love them all. Garrus is a best bro one can wish for(Wrex too, shame he did not come back as squqdmate in 2 and 3), Tali is the best girl and Liara is the most loyal one. I mean she literally liberated Shep's corpse and delivered it to the only organization that had interest in reviving him. Love this trilogy so much.

I finished my first playthrough of 1-3 almost a week ago. Yet, I still cannot get past the grief. Shepard is Tali's home. She said "come back to me," and Shepard couldn't. Even without the Talimance, which has devasted me still, I'm so sad there won't be anymore adventures with the gang. Is it immature for me to refuse Shepard's death and make a headcanon where he survives? The message of the game is to choose and live with the consequences. Have I grown as a player if I can't accept any ending offered; anything the story finishes with?
@ceralor9 ай бұрын
Maybe, maybe not. The replayability from different choices, different responses, different partners, playing the other gender and romancing Garrus instead, another class sometimes even unlocking interrupts (Engineer on Omega in 3). Mods restore cut content and can alter gameplay flow, including rerouting DLC timelines to fit the story instead of instant availability. Some even alter the ending, some are too happy ending, others can force an ending choice instead of even having the star child exist. Some can alter the dream sequences in 3 to be led by people Shepard knows who have died, and turns them into a much stronger nightmare driven by those they know and fear. See what happens if Udina is selected for the council instead, save the council if you didn't the first time. Be an asshole to those who deserve it. Every playthrough I've done has felt new. Precious playthrough I used the LE3 Diversity Mod that adds a ton of things, and I felt like it was a new game. Did the same but with Project Variety mod this time and same feeling. Even without mods, sometimes knowing what can happen to a character hurts more when you spend time with them, or may make you make different decisions this time, and live with _those_ consequences. There's always consequences, of every decision.

I am not sure why, but when I made the choice to leave my abusive wife about 2 years ago, I was drawn back to this song. It felt like a 3-year battle that I had finally chosen to end. I myself find it unusual that these two things were connected, but when I listened, I knew that no matter the cost of my decision, I had made the right one. The beginning of the song helped me to reflect upon my experiences with this woman, and to assert that what she did was not right, and that I deserved better. The ending of this song is what gave me the strength to move on, and achieve independence and freedom again. I have since found someone much better for me. It is amazing how music can be so close to our life experiences!

Play insanity if you havint. My second play through was on insanity and i felt so much closer to the characters and to my squad. I got more invested in them and relied on them in fire fights and I discovered at least 10% more of the games because i was hell bent determined to get "The" Ending. I found dialogue and whole scenes i had other wise missed. (I also recommend Vanguard for class, cause that is easily the most fun gameplay wise and there is just something special and rewarding about playin gon the hardest difficulty with a 'high risk, high reward' fight style like vanguard and the charge. Soldiers might be best in the frontline, but Vanguards thrive in the enemies' lines lol)

Every playthrough brings new opportunities, new choices, even when still opting for a positive take. And it never ceases to bring me that wonder. If you have Legendary on PC, mod it heavily. There's cut content that's restored, other things shuffled or reordered, sometimes additions, gameplay changes (combat remastered rebalances ME2 to drop power weapons, and it feels really good to play). Recruit Legion before anyone else and both get Tali and attend her trial with it without facing the repercussions of trying to do that late-game and losing crew of the Normandy. Play the other gender of Shep with a new class you've never done, and face an opposite-gender clone during the end of the Citadel DLC. Restore Pinnacle Station for the combat arena in the first game. Have Conrad Verner actually remember you correctly the entire trilogy, despite being a bumbling fool. Finally get a paragon completion to Zaeed's loyalty mission and still earn his loyalty if you're really fast at saving the workers. The trilogy is so vast that there's so many different ways things can unfold, smaller storylines, bigger storylines, who you hear say different things because of special connections from a character to a situation, and especially with extending what was cut or rebuilding it. I think you'll love it all over again.

First off, if anyone reads this, I am obviously very emotional and gay. Sorry. I finished the trilogy about a week ago and I still can’t get over it. It was so moving in every way possible. I was told the ending was bad, but I still cried a lot so that has to be worth something. (I chose Control) The first time I cried was for Mordin. “Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.” The second time was Kaidan’s goodbye speech. “We know the score… We know this is goodbye.” The third was leaving Kaidan on the Normandy and heading toward the Citadel beam. “Don’t leave me behind..” “No matter what happens… know that I love you. Always.” “I love you too.” The final time I cried was An End, Once and For All. “And I will watch over the ones who live on.” “Those who carry the memory of the man I once was.” “The man who gave up his life to become the one who could save the many.” As a gay man, Kaidan and Shepard’s relationship meant so much to me. It was so loving and soft. Filled with joy and sorrow. I loved how slow paced and sweet it was, just enjoying each other’s company.. “It’s been a good ride.” … “The best.”
