Farrem Shamist Agreed. Thane we were prepared for, though the manner in which he died was unexpected. Mordin... I found it heartbreaking how he sang the same song from ME 2 during his last moments. Legion, however, was the one that made the most impact on me. In ME 1, we disliked the Geth... then comes along this one robot and changes our entire outlook in just a few short sentences. You are compelled to fight for him... to save him and his kind because you truly believe in Legion... and then poof. Gone. Just like that.

Destroyer120296 It was suppose to mean they are now individual minds. Meaning, they are no longer software, but individuals with their own personalities. Therefore, they can now decide what is right and what is wrong based on moral standards and not through calculations. Basically, that's why Tali agrees Legion had a soul because he could see what was right and what was wrong. Thus the upgrade would allow them to attack and defend in order to save their own lives instead of allowing ships to be destroyed because before the upgrade, it wouldn't matter as long as one Geth survived. Thus making them stronger. Basically look at the Geth as the Internet. You see many people with different opinions on everything. Meaning they all have their own mind based on their own moral standings. That's basically what the upgrade did. It turned the Geth into our Internet. They are still linked, but now have an opinion of their own.

I shot the ghost kid to see if he says anything unimportant, ended up him getting upset on me, Reapers killed everyone. 50.000 years fast forward into the future: Liara T'Soni hologram: And so we lost the war. Totally agree, it was an incredible game overall. It's the only game I have ever played where the odds legitimately seem 100% stacked against you. Like every planet you go to is absolutely decimated by Reapers at some point. Humanity is reduced to guerrilla fighting on their own world. It seems like only a matter of time before the galaxy is finished. I'm hyping myself up just typing this right now! Can't let the last few minutes of the game ruin the whole thing.

I learned that the ending wasn't supposed to be a choice at the beginning, but fuck EA, the ending satisfied me and even if people are complaining, it's useless now, the game is 8 years old so it won't change everything to cry against it.

I think out of all of the deaths in ME3...Legion is the one that made me broke down in tears. Thane's death is quite inevitable due to his symptoms, but I still feel remorse for him because he couldn't spend more of his time with his son. Mordin was pretty much your average sacrifices moments (atoning his race's sins and what not) but the memory that you carried along with him made me had goosebumps throughout his entire death...especially when he sang the song that you mentioned him about. But Legion... He died finally being himself, his own will...his own soul... And then, he gave it to his entire race prior to his death here... How could you beat that? (I'm not sure why everyone prefer Mordin over Legion's death, but I can tell that the bond you had with Mordin predates Legion's arrival more...but then again, I wish you could've spend more time with Legion instead of just having EA/Bioware scrap that idea of the Geth reviving you)

I love this scene, in the way that it's the best mission in the game and my two favorites and it ends the war that was coming. This scene got it all. Legion, the Geth that came in ME2 and that we took to our hearts, becomes an real person at the last moments of his life. Something ells that i heartbreaking is on the Geth Dreadnought where after you find Legion and when you're about to free him, Tali will be devastated and say that she did all she could to make peace with the Geth's, thats an heartbreaking moment too as it just show how much she changed since the first game. From being this Quarian girl who was on her pilgrimage that hated the Geth to the women who understood that the enemies wasn't some kind of monsters but just wanted to live and is now trying to stop an war that was pointless. i love seeing these kind of scenes as it reminds us about not judging someone for the race and to see every person as just that, an person.

I did it on my first playthrough so I didn't know what would happen. I originally told him to upload the code, hoping I could get the option to get the Quarians to stand down, but I didn't. Tali asked me to reconsider, and I literally thought about it for a good 10 minutes, and I changed my mind. The way it worked out made it the most memorable scene in the game for me because it worked perfectly in terms of drama.

@TheNavid001,You don't have to pick either. You get both if you convince the fleet to back down and Legion sacrifices himself. You get the Quarian Fleet and the newly upgraded and individualized Geth Fleet.

@TheBigZBoy1 You can save Tali, but there's quite a you have to do from Mass Effect 2 to do that, which is you need to either pick the Paragon or Renegade dialogue option at the end of her trial and then peacefully solve the dispute between her and Legion (again with Paragon or Renegade). Then in Mass Effect 3, you have to do a side quest to save one of the fleet's admirals to even get the Paragon or Renegade speech options that'll save Tali /and/ a lot of Paragon or Renegade points.

@TheBigZBoy1 Koris is the Quarian admiral who commands the Qwib-Qwib (he's the guy who acts like a jerk during Tali's trial, but he's the only Quarian bigwig who's in favor of peace with the Geth). And yeah, those two side missions only happen once you get involved with the Quarian-Geth stuff. But you're on the right track so far, as long as you do those missions.

Legion using "I" doesn't make sense. Legion doesn't use "we" because it's not a conscious being, Legion uses "we" because there are thousands of Geth consciousness inhabiting that one body. The Geth are a different kind of intelligence, pretty big theme with them is that they can be very different from other species and still be considered conscious beings deserving of life.

That means that after he uploaded the Reaper code (which basicaly turns all geth into self-aware, fully functional "species"), he had to sacrifice himself in order for the code to fully activate. His constructs didnt return to the geth, for he didnt have any constructcs. At that point, Legion became a distinct personality and he truly "died" when the code was uploaded.

@Golan7 yes i know, i have read things on there for knowledge about certain things for mass effect 3. about weapons, the multiplayer though i have played the demo and had all classes on level 20, weapons, etc. i had Zaeed escort the Normandy crew back to the Normandy. I took tali and mordin to fight the human reaper with me at the end. that's how i got him out alive. i replayed me1 and me2 many times as both paragon and renegade to make certain choices for both playthroughs.

@vidmasterx7 You need to have either the Renegade or Paragon persuasion option available. If you don't have either one you choose between the geth or the quarians.

@TheBigZBoy1 Best way to save Mordin at the Collector Base is to have him escort the Normandy crew back to the ship. That way you don't have to worry about him. The Mass Effect wikia has more information.

I unexpectedly killed off Tali in this scene and I was so shocked and U couldnt go on with the game without her. had to revert back to a manual save that would put me back at least an hour and a half or 2 before this moment to keep tali. That is the impact of this game on you
