She will shoot him if you signal or use right options of answer but even then she kills him to protect you, because Wrex giving you clear vibes that he is going to do his way, and it's most posible that he shoots you the second after. Because you are deep in enemy territory, outmanned and outgunned. In that situation, a squadmate who might turn on you and switch sides to save that cure, is a dangerous liability. The pragmatic thing to do is eliminate him now before he could become a problem later.

Kaidan probably was shocked by it because unlike Ashley he didn't actually see Wrex pointing his gun at Shepard. The reality of the danger the Commander was in wasn't instilled upon Kaidan. He only ran over after the gunshots, and all he seen was Wrex's body. Of course his outlook will differ from Ashley's.

In my first playthrough I got enough Paragon to calm down Wrex, and just by doing two or three secondary missions (literally). People blame Ashley, but in fact THEY are just poor players. Sounds like "Yeah I want to be renegade cause renegade is cool", - Wrex dies -, "Fuck you Ashley!" O_O Never understood Ash haters. I loved her since the first encounter on Eden Prime. And that white armour...

He died under realistic circumstances, in-game combat is exaggerated, Shepard can't sit there and get shot at repeatedly with no shields. When cutscene combat is shown it usually ignores the video game mechanics.

For some reason I find Ashley shooting Wrex from behind and then mercilessly finishing him off kinda hot. This scene is the main reason I love Ashley so much. Such a cold and ruthless character and at the same time with great loyalty towards her commander. Shame we don't see this renegade side of her much in later ME games.

@Jdog5785 If you do Wrex's mission to reclaim his family armor before you go to Virmire, you'll have the option to talk Wrex down and get him to rejoin you. Option I always go with because Wrex is too awesome to kill.

That sort of thing always happens in cinematics, after slogging through waves of enemies and coming out at the end of the course with no ammo and little health to speak of, the game cuts to scene and shows someone blowing away those very same enemies as though it just another day at the range.Where's the acknowledgement of all my efforts?

there's a $5 DLC for ME2 called genesis that lets you make all the major choices of ME1 so they will impact a new char on ME2. it's a 15 min interactive comic, also gets you caught up on events of ME1 so thats nice.

I didnt even know wrex could be killed until mass effect 2. When I imported my mass effect 1 profile to mass effect 2 it just said Urdont Wrex is alive as one of my mass effect 1 stats and I was like "He could die?"

@RaustBD Allow me. The problem is that if Saren developed a cure for the genophage, he would ABUSE the technology. He would use it to turn the krogans into his brainwashed slave army to overrun the galaxy so we couldn't fight the Reapers. It's better to let the krogans die than allow them to become Saren's tools. You have to argue that in order to persuade Wrex to see your point, but the player didn't do that in this video, opting for the "pulling rank" strategy which didn't work.

@KABANG1995 Because the cure in this case wasn't worth it. Saren was going to cure the genophage, but in the process he was going to turn the krogans into his brainwashed slaves. The cure would have cured the genophage, but then Saren would have had a giant krogan army to overrun the galaxy and weaken them for the Reapers. Unfortunately, in this case, it was better to destroy the cure for the genophage, since it's better for a krogan to be dead than enslaved.

1) How am I a troll if I obviously have shown I care about the game and its storyline. 2) Stupid =/= having a foreign perspective. Kaidan being a Major is irrelevant, both marines get promoted after ME2 regardless of their personalities. And both become Spectres. And Kaidan isn't full Paragon, he actually advised my Shepard to do a neutral act then I dismissed him by doing the Paragon action and ended up getting points for it, I wouldn't have gotten a Paragon boost if I had listened to him.

@RaustBD If you opt for the lower o options, Shepard never bothers to explain anything to Wrex. The exception is the only actual Renegade option (Don't be so naive), where Shepard convinces him Seran is using the Krogan as slaves, nothing more. Anyhow, played through this game three or four times and never killed Wrex, nor do I ever intend to. He is simply far too epic.
