Not mentioned in run commentary: For casual playthroughs of ME1; there are three versions of Liara's dialogue in the Feros mission, depending on whether you rescue her first, second, or third. That blurb you briefly saw "are you real?" is part of a dialogue where she is questioning her sanity as she has become delirious with thirst and desperation. This is to give a sense of scale to the game, that she has not just suddenly been captured by the force field, but that it actually occurs much earlier in the timeline of the game. If you rescue her first, she is fully coherent having only just been caught. If you rescue her second, she is desperate and angry. If you rescue her third she is delirious and unsure.

I love that he's playing my favorite class, Vanguard. It's got a fast-paced, aggressive playstyle that's so much fun and kinda perfect for a speedrun really. Also, I feel so vindicated that even speedrunners find certain fights really tough. I've ragdolled off the edge during Benezia's fight, so I felt the tension there.

The first time I played Mass Effect, I played it super late. I had played 2 to death and 3 was on its way. I accidentally learned that you can grenade urself to sprint in areas like the Citadel and other non-sprint areas and I remember thinking to myself. "I bet dollars to dimes this is a speedrunning trick." I feel very validated on this day

This is impressive. I did my version of a "speedrun" of this many years ago, and it took about 5.5 hours. That was a clean run without any glitchery - what's the fastest run possible without any clever use of game mechanics?

You get renegade points for free for some reason if you glitch past the fight with the villagers that are mindcontrolled by the plant.

you can use paragon to skip 2 of the boss fights with Saren by talking, you just need enough points
