This is the only game series to ever make me feel anything substantial. The only one to make me laugh out loud, make me angry to the point where I'm shaking, or make me cry bitter tears. I viscerally miss these characters and the genuinely deep relationships they all shared. Thank you BioWare. I'll consider this a late apology for andromeda. No hate intended for anyone who enjoyed it, it just felt dead and void of emotion after the trilogy. I can't fucking wait to see the normandy for the first time again!

Oh my God, my guy. I can totally relate, when it comes to the bitter tears. As I had a horrible experience during my first play through of ME3. This was before, mind you..that I knew that you needed the Multiplayer to get your galactic readiness up for the best endings. And it all started...on Rannoch. Unfortunately, before I also knew...that you could save the Quarians, and the Geth...I had to watch, as the Geth returned to full strength...and butchered the Quarians..and in her despair, I watched Tali..the love of my play throughs, hurl herself from the cliffside. And despite the Paragon option...I could not save her. And I could not stop crying, for what felt like hours. And it only got worse, when at the very end...I had to watch most, if not all of my close friends die during the final assault. I almost didn't want to finish the game. But, I'm glad I did. Because my next play through was the best experience ever.

Hey man its true the trilogy had a serious impact, great characters, relationships, music, it all came together great, but there are other fantastic games that can also evoke emotions, i felt sadness and joy while playing little big adventure, i laughed a lot while going through each monkey island, i was in awe of the writing and voice acting in every legacy of kain, i chuckled a lot at the absurdity of portal, and even recently a friend gifted me this game i never heard of before called 'gris' a real tear jerker that one, so go out there and explore other titles while waiting for the return of ME

@@TheNucaKola I think making the first game into a movie trilogy works pretty well. If you cut out Feros, since the Thorian is cool but doesn't add much, you could even cut it down to 2 movies. Add a prologue to give everything a bit more context, kinda like what they did in the LOTR trilogy. The second game would have to be a tv series. It's all about the characters. Building up the suspense and foreboding of the suicide mission. Recrutiing the team, gaining their loytalty and coming to terms with mortality. It would so good. You could make it 4 or 5 seasons, easy. ME3..... I dunno. You have to change the ending first. It will be interseting to see what ME4 (since MEA never got that title) will do.

10 years ago, there was a story. A story about one Commander in the Alliance Navy. A story about a ship called 'Normandy'. A story about a crew of races from all corners of the galaxy. The story was told then, but now many of the details have been lost. It all happened quite some time ago you see. But now...now that legendary story in all it's glory can be retold again. The details no longer lost. It's the story of Commander Shepard.

Awesome audio. Original Control ending extended cut was Uber satisfying for me. Shepherd controls the reapers, edi and the tether don’t have to die, sooo good. I know shepherd’s mind slightly changed but it would be great for him to come back in a humanoid synthetic/organic body. He could have one built since he is all the reapers. At the end of 2014 I fell into the deepest and darkest of depressions where I cut myself off from everyone and became a complete shut in. That is when I found this game series and through playing them and experiencing the different emotions of the story I began to realise that even though it was a fictional story it helped me understand life is always going to have hardships but with true loyal friends by your side nothing can ever stop you from your goals. Yes. If they have at least some blood in them they should remake the whole ending. Pushing a button to kill all reapers is lame. They should have made it around the war against them. With sheppard and some chosen companions going to a balls to the wall suicide mission, just to give the galaxy a LITTLE edge over the reapers atleast for a minute, which could turn the war around and break the cycle of death and rebirth the galaxy was fated to. Instead pick a colour and sod off

@@Eche24 If we're talking about the games up to the end of Rannoch, then I agree with 11/10, but I agree with you completely on the ending. Endings are important, it's the final taste in your mouth. Like Game of Thrones, who wants to go back and watch it if you know the ending is so weak? Even with the Extended Cut, it wasn't the ending ME deserved, devoid of meaningful choice, speaking to a character thrown in with the only context added in a DLC. It was rushed, plain and simple, and the start of what Bioware has become.

I was introduced to Mass Effect Legendary Edition this year. I was going through a tough time, I lost my grandma from COVID back in August, got into a car accident, and lost my girlfriend who I dated for almost two years. I fought it out, and this game really helped me right alongside Halo. Both will always have a spot for me in my heart. The characters are outstanding, the technology and world building is insane. It has the best missions and is exactly what I like. I never really was a fan of action roleplaying games and third person shooters, but I loved this. Definitely worth the money to buy.

Mass Effect is, for me and I'm sure many others, quintessential sci-fi and one of the greatest stories the genre has ever told. A story of love, hate, betrayal, redemption and salvation, with characters whose names you'll remember long after you finish playing. While the ending may not have been to everyone's liking, the journey was what mattered - and it was one helluva ride.

Mass effect is just something else, I played the Legendary Edition for the first time ever these last few months having never previously experienced the original games. I laughed, I smiled and at times I even cried. The games will remain one of the most influential stories in all of history. The legendary edition was my introduction to this series. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, because space-themed sci-fi is not usually my cup of tea (although I am starting to change my mind about that). However, I had heard many good things about Mass Effect from different people and once the legendary edition came out, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try it for myself. And I am so glad I did. I love it, so much ❤ Especially the characters, they are so awesome 😍 Personal favorites for me are Garrus and Tali, I love them so much ❤ Tali is so adorable and I get serious "little sister-wibes" from her, would love to have a sibling or a friend like her. And Garrus.. oh, Garrus, where do I start with you. I love him so much ❤ To put it short and sweet, he is without a doubt one of the best characters in literally anything that I have seen. Wish I could have someone like him by my side in reality too. And as a wannabe-writer myself, I just have to admire the work the writers have done with the series. Here's to hoping that the future Mass Effect title will be as good as the trilogy 👍

Glad you liked it. It's a wonderful story. Also give Joker some love to he deserves it. Try Andromeda as well while not as good as the original trilogy it is still a good game, the combat is so much smoother. And while you will miss Tali and Garrus there are some notable characters in it as well, not to mention some 😳 wow moments. Hope the next ME comes out soon.

Let's just say all the facts. Mass Effect is a lovechild of Star Wars and Star Trek. Through the entire trilogy, you saw the groundbreaking on how you tell a story, how the role playing you felt was so great you felt like you were the captain of your own ship. You fell in love, whoever you really liked in your team In the fact that they are releasing this game gives me hope that maybe maybe out of all the shadow of of the dead of this franchise, but they can make a comeback. This game kept me on track when I was passing through the worst time of my life so far (maybe in the future that could change) but definitely, I moved forward because of this, all the heartaches, the failures, even the lack of purpose, I moved forward and now I can say that everything is good enough to be happy. Best game and franchise ever, even with the ending. 20/10 and of course, will play again if I have time to do so.

Lock and load, people, this war isn't going to win itself" It's been quite something returning to the series, I'm currently on Mass Effect 3 having finished ME1 and 2 gradually since the collection was released. Returning to it after over seven years and taking a pretty big step in my life for the sake of my health has fairly made returning to the series very special since the last time I played it and completed it I was in a pretty dark place mentally and emotionally. I'm eager to return to ME3 as soon as possible.

This game series just did something else for me man it made me care about my crew, made me cry and just made my heart drop when you send your crew back onto the Normandy too survive at the end of 3 and the flashbacks too the other games at the end it was really just a fun story I'm happy I got too be a part of.

Ngl. This game and it characters helped me push through the worst time of my life. A time where i was alone at school, after thought to most ppl and helped me shape my morals/me. And to think i got this game by accident. Best mistake ive made so far because tbh I would prob be a diff person today if it wasnt for this game.

I have played a lot of games and emersed myself in many characters but no story has touched me like Mass Effect. Even with its flaws, the story became the players and after a long session of play, the feeling of accomplishment, failure, or loss is felt. I am looking forward to being on the Normandy again.

The first time I played ME1, I literally shouted for joy when my femgineer came charging over the wreckage at the end when it was briefly implied that Shep didn't make it. My all time favorite gaming moment. Sadly, the game didn't end on a high note IMO but I still hold the trilogy up in high regard overall.

I beat myself up for not playing mass effect sooner once I bought the games I feel in love with it and now that I bought the legendary edition I’ll be able to experience it all over again! The tough decision I’ll have to make the friends I’ll make and ones I’ll loose the terrors I’ll witness the heart pounding moments and my most favorite the last stand to save the galaxy! After beating the odds and uniting all! The journey you make in this game will forever be implanted in you. It’s like... you were born for this.

One of the best collections of games I have ever played. Despite all the negativity that surrounds the company and the endings and how poorly Andromeda was received I have to commend bioware for what they did here. I have never got attached so strongly to cast of characters and a story in my life. They genuinely did a great job making you love these people and the universe and despite how people feel about 3 and it's endings, I came out feeling like your Shepard was just as important to them as they were to you. The citadel dlc alone made me so in my feels.
