I work at a hotel, used to be at the front desk. David Levy (concept artist for TRON Legacy) stayed with us for an art conference. When I asked him about a sequel, he said there was nothing official, but off the record, he was already being asked for more concept art. That was about four years ago, though, so I'm guessing they decided not to pursue it. :( That aside, this is an excellent mix, I love it!

It’s not a ‘take’ - it’s a direct sequel. It’s the same Flynn and Tron from the first film, just thirty years and some major hardware upgrades later.
@Idazmi74 жыл бұрын
@@randombloke82 Then why is Kevin Flynn so much weaker on the Grid? In the original, he was basically a god to the programs, and could manipulate the Grid to do things like preventing a program from derezzing, or redirecting a sail-ship's energy beam... he doesn't have power like that in the "sequel".
@KizaruB4 жыл бұрын
@@Idazmi7 He uses his power, but it’s very scarce. We get him shutting down the club and using his full power to defeat Clu at the end. It might’ve been part of the fact that Kevin couldn’t use his powers due to wanting to avoid detection or because he’s older or maybe because he’s losing control due to Clu’s continued influence.
@Idazmi74 жыл бұрын
@@KizaruB The fact that Flynn wanted to avoid detection is brought up in the movie itself: other than that, those are still assumptions. The fact that he was able to defeat CLU so easily indicates that CLU's influence on the grid didn't reduce his powers - and Sam Flynn should have such abilities too, being a User. Keven could easily let him in on how to use them. My guess is the writer didn't want to deal with User powers and just left them out of the script.
@KizaruB4 жыл бұрын
@@Idazmi7 Let me preface this by saying I think you’re right in your last statement. This film definitely feels like a lot of stuff was omitted from the original and that the writing is inconsistent. I would’ve preferred to see Sam with powers, but it unfortunately didn’t happen. If I give the writers the benefit of the doubt, some of the issues could be theoretically justified, even if weakly. Kevin said he tried to defeat Clu, but it didn’t work. Clu was very powerful, and only gained more from Kevin’s resistance. However, he knows there is a way to defeat Clu. Quorra even said “he could but it would require reintegration”. That’s the reason he doesn’t. When he reintegrates, he seemingly destroys most of the Grid in a giant explosion. Kevin knows that if he reintegrated with Clu, he’d destroy the ISOs, who still hadn’t been completely purged at that point. His whole life’s work would be destroyed and forgotten, and he’d also die in the process, which probably isn’t what he wants. He only decides to reintegrate when he realizes there is no other way to prevent Clu from getting to the portal and from harming Quorra and Sam. Clu also put himself in a vulnerable position. He had his back facing Kevin and his guard was down, so this gave Kevin the chance he could never get to subdue Clu. On the topic of Sam, I think this potentially might’ve been a conscious decision to make Sam more human compared to Quorra, Clu, and Kevin. Maybe they wanted him to be the human character in the story, as opposed to Quorra the gifted “child”, Kevin the godly sage, and Clu the autocratic dictator. However, that’s just me giving the writers the benefit of the doubt. The most likely answer is what you suggested, and they just didn’t think about it.

My best friend love Daft Punk. And thanks to him I listen to the sound that gave birth to my childhood and all his grace has a sound. I remember when i play with he. When we look video and when we play of the game Ark. And thanks to him I listen to the sound that gave birth to my childhood and all his grace has a sound. Just thank you for reminding me of all those moments with my best friend. I haven’t seen him for a long time. I will have to see him again because I miss him a lot. Just thank you guys.

"The Grid" and "Tron Legacy (End Titles)" definitely feature the score's best performances of the main theme, don't they? But the addition of "Overture" is also a nice touch. Thanks for sharing! Let's go daft and be punked for life!

I still come to this classic makes me feel it’s like the generation I grew with 80s we have grown up and we’re slowly passing to the kids of the future and we’re leaving them as we live our lives till we ride off to the next journey our grandparents took before

A lot of peeps usually think tron: legacy was just a run of the mill scifi action movie. But when you consider the fact that this version of sci-fi was basically the first of its kind and how many future films seemed to take inspiration from tron's clean, modern-esc cyberpunk style, you start to realize how good it really was! Watching tron in imax was such an amazing experience and is one of the few times i actually thought a movie was in enhanced by being in 3d. Say what you will about the story but id still take a movie with a well-executed concept but a generic plot over a poorly executed movie with an original plot (originality is overrated anyway). idk, thats just my take on it, awesome mix btw HAHAHA

This soundtrack was amazing and never gets old. Too bad Tron Legacy didn't find an audience. Still listening to this soundtrack years later on repeat.

I think my appreciation for the film is mainly just for its art and music As an actual narrative, it’s not that deep, even tho it has traces of depth at first
