Having a tanky Warp/Throw spammer that can ALSO strip shields easily with Overload feels broken AF by part 3. Pair with James to further shield/health boost + group incendiary, asserting total DOMINANCE. 😎

Cryo Blast in Mass Effect 3 is actually effective against foes with armour. Banshees and Brutes are made weaker. This is an effective Debuff, leading to you being more easily able to gun down protections. Edit due to feedback.

It's also good in 2 for staggering enemies with it's very low cooldown. Hit a protected enemy with any skill and they stagger back for a second giving you and your team an opening to focus fire.

I’ve played Sentinel a lot and still learned some neat stuff in this video, thank you for sharing and for boosting the most underrated class. I know no one asked but I always play Sentinel on my main playthroughs (sometimes another biotic class in 1). My headcanon is that his biotics were made stronger by the beacons and mind-melds with asari and that when Cerberus rebuilt him as basically a cyborg he was from then out a sort of technomancer. The sentinel tankiness embodies that bit from the Spectre induction speech, “our first, and last, line of defense.” Take care fellow Commaners Shepard, this one hopes the Enkindlers shine the light of their wisdom and compassion upon you all.

I finally managed to beat all 3 games on insanity and I could not of done it without the Sentinel. It’s bulky, defensive and quite fun when you want to be more biotic or in the mood to be more tech. Thank you for this video!

Cryo Blast is a one point wonder. You only need to invest a point. It has incredibly low recharge speed (about a second) so it's very viable even on insanity in ME2, especially against lightly armored enemies. Follow it up with throw, and you can launch enemies off the map (frozen enemies become weightless for some reason). It's even more viable in ME3 because insanity is easier in that game. Also, in ME3, don't sweat the cooldown penalty too much. I used the option for maximum protection (which would "significantly" penalize your cooldowns) but warp still took just 2 seconds to recharge as long as you use a couple of light weapons or stick to just one like the Mattock (you really don't need more). What is important is to use the time between powers to shoot like crazy, which means your DPS won't go down as you wait for powers to recharge. Warp ammo is the best for bonus power for this, as it boosts damage for almost all types of protection. They say that the Sentinel is a jack of all trades (and a master of none). This isn't true. If you know how to use powers and combos, the Sentinel absolutely slaughters enemies in just about all situations. He doesn't just survive, he thrives ESPECIALLY in insanity difficulty.

lol, soldier guide, bring out the biggest gun and shoot, in ME3 though you can max out concussive shot and combine with ammo powers soldier can set up endless tech explosion, it is extremely powerful and so easy to use, almost make you feel retarded

I went with a super tanky build. 50% damage reduction with tech armor+40% damage reduction on fortification and 15% damage reduction for 30 or 40 sec after killing an enemy with heavy mele for a total of 105% damage reduction and carrying really devastating fire power. James with thypon Lv5 max in assault rifle damage boost. Ashley with squad ammo power and James as well.

So for my Sentinel, I used shotguns a lot because having the extra shields means you can get up close without dying and put out a lot of hurt. But assault rifles are a ‘safer’ choice because of the range they provide. It’s personal preference but I like to have challenge so I went with shotguns!

1:54 What's going on here? Does the PC version of the game have a different decryption minigame?

In Mass Effect 1, this was the only decryption mini game, only in 2 did they have different ones 😁

@@Jayhawker2000 so looking more into it, apparently the Xbox and PlayStation version had a “Simon Says” like mini game where you had to press A, B, X, and Y in the correct order. I remember in the Legendary edition, this mini game popped up in Liara’s mission, but I think that is the one you remember!
