This video is so sad, it's heartbreaking. I hope they are all resting in peace., Thanks GV for this, great video in a beautiful place. God Bless! Also, my grandparents donated their bodies to science, so when the medical school was through with them, their remains were cremated and are in a mass grave in a cemetery not too far from where I live here in Michigan.

This place has really bothered me, those poor people. I dug up the burial records GV. Between 1954 and 1962 they sent 63 people to the anatomy dept, probably without consent. That's horrendous!! I'm going to make sure we get our Dad back when they've finished with him. Thank you for this intriguing and informative walkabout. I love the view. Deb of Oz.

Great to wander around and hear the stories . All those little posts with numbers on could have been taken from the large plot of the asylum and taken off the plot so it could be mown and stop folk falling over them and putting a claim in to the council . It just seems an awful amount of people from one place sent for science . Just a thought . Thank you GV xx

I would think there's a document somewhere with the numbered stoned and who's buried there. Perhaps the caretaker of the cemetery, the university or maybe even a library would have a copy.

The numbers are usually listed in a book of record. So you can look it up. Maybe a church register. Or town local register

Those who leave their bodies to science have no names or any other identifying marks or information. It is supposed to be easier for the doctors to "work" on the bodies if they have no name. They are only test subjects, identified by a number
