Michele, what a fantastic tutorial on journal making! I am always so happy when I see a new video of yours. Your ideas are brilliant and inspiring. Loved hearing you share your memories of your lovely mom. Thank you for continuing to make videos even through your home and studio aren't complete. What a champion you are!

I too love the soft spine. I have never seen a soft spine with a hard cover. I love this idea. Have to make me one now. Thanks so much for the inspiration. ❤

I am a messy crafter however when I am finished for the day I have to straighten up so as not to come back in to chaos. I get overwhelmed with walking into my space and it in disarray, as the next day I may want to work on something totally different. You always create the nicest things!😊 I use the art glitter glue all the time but one tip I will pass to you is do not leave the top off for too long or put a stainless steel straight pin in it so it doesn’t get gunked up while you are using it. I love it! It holds very well but it is on a pricier side.

I love the way you can put anything together and it looks good, that is a nice talent to have. Thanks for sharing. Friend from North Georgia Mountains

Great ideas! I switched from using scissors ✂️ to a bone folder to separate the book pages from the spine when removing the guts...just insert into the cover spine then twist the bone folder as you move down thru the pages. So far No damage to the original spine! Thanks for sharing

It's very beautiful as usual. With Art Glitter Glue (AGG), less is more. And your only gluing paper does not need as much as other glue.

I think the blankets helped with the microphone. Love the covers. I will try my cutter like that the next time I need to cut a cover because my little exacto type knife took forever. I hope you have a delightful day.

Always love me a CreativeCove video! 😂 many thanks, Michelle, for keeping me company with your soothing voice, relaxed approach, good humor, and messy desk! It is so good to know that others work in this disorder and chaos! Funny how we do seem to know where everything is, kind-of-sort-of!😂😂 haha! Much Aloha to you lovely, talented lady!!🌺💖✨️🙋♀️

Very beautiful! 🥰 I have a really large craft table and somehow I cover it in scraps and am always working in a tiny pocket of space and crawling on the floor using my cutting mat. I have no idea how that happens but when you are in a good creative rhythm who has time to clean. I am learning to accept that. :)

I love the look of the covers you showed. Especially book page that shows around the edges. And I love how a little bit of the colored book shows at edges. It's funny how some of us get in the mood for a certain thing. And 3 months later, we want something else! *** QUESTION: Why didn't you use the original spine that's already on the book cover? (On 1st journal). I saw you did on the 2nd one. I didn't know you could cut a book cover down to a smaller size. Great info!! Thanks!! Austin TX USA

Yes, it’s called a master board. Don’t feel bad. The brain fog hits me hard too sometimes 😅 I love that someone else is as messy as I am 😂 crafting is my time to be as messy as I want because I’m normally very organized, anal-retentive, borderline OCD. With that said, I always have to clean and reorganize when I’m done for the day. I know my roommate appreciates it 🤣🤪 I haven’t done this with books yet but I want to. I have a bunch of old books in storage I need to dig out. Thanks for sharing your process 💟📚🎨
