Beautiful job on the envelope pocket flipbooks. You should see the loaded ones that have been done for several years in the happy mail/snail mail community because some of them are filled with some amazing goodies, so beautifully created & make awesome thank you gifts, etc., but I used to watch those videos before the scrapbooking videos started popping up.

I think Rachael glued temporarily and then stitched them onto the paper. I have made one with fabrics and paper pieces and they look amazing rolled up...you can cover a cut down TP or paper towel cardboard for something to roll on. Craft stores have chip board circles to place on top and bottom (decorated of course), and it will look like a spool. Thinking I may only try these with those sturdy kraft paper envelopes! Thank you for your many videos.

Hi Tina 👋 So many envelopes so little time! I trim the envelope just a bit before gluing it into the other. It may be a good tip so it's not as "fiddley" 😸 I struggle with so many paper dilemas anyhow LoL 🤣 Thanks for all you do for us 😊😻 Peace be with you 🙏💯

Great idea! Thank you! I did find that it can be a bit easier if you place one envelope BACK SIDE UP with the flap open and then put the other envelope on top FRONT SIDE UP, flap open and then just glue each flap on the outside of the other envelope. Then crease and cut off the ends as you did. Much less fiddling and although I add glue you could actually use the glue on the envelopes. Since you are covering the outside it doesn’t matter that the flaps are on opposite sides. Hope that makes sense! Thank you for your lovely videos!💕

Hi - I made one with 12 envelopes and the gluing of the flaps is terrible, could be done once they are in, carefully, or covered with a paper that keeps them closed. They are heavy. Use a blade to cut the top of the envelope. Works very clean. Thx. Love the channel. Jackie (I have a small crochet channel.) New Journal Person

I think it is awesome that you support your children's decisions! Sometimes, that is all we got! LOL I impressed on my three that, by finishing school, they had choices! Then, they could do whatever they want! They are and it is wonderful! You're a good mom! And, I love your creativity! On Rachel's rolls of collage, rolling them around a kitchen wrap core, or wrapping paper core, shouldn't bend the edges, too bad. Su

I personally wouldn’t roll the collage pages as they wouldn’t flatten out. It’s a brilliant concept, i think maybe cut them up to store. Rachel collages the back too. Gayle has done it too. I’d love to see your take on Carol’s brilliant idea.
@MessyPaperCrafter4 жыл бұрын
The book page snippets popped up in my suggested videos and it looks like they did not store them on a roll. The ladies just cut them up for use as journaling cards. I think you’re right, bits might pop up if you tried to roll it up.

Gayle that sheet of paper that has Alfred on it you stuck to envelope , is that what they call card stock only lots thinner , n would you use that just by itself in a signature , please, I'm sorry I must be an absolute bug by now, but you so good at what you do n I love watching you xx
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
That was on 160gsm paper, so a bit thinner than cardstock really. I’m not sure when the paper becomes cardstock, I would say about 200gsm is the point where I would start to call in cardstock. That’s just me though, I’m not sure what others would say x

The gluing of the 2 envellopes: maybe it's easier to do the back side first, and then the flap going into the envellope. Using a gluestick might also make it a litlle easier to adhere.

Thanks for sharing! I wouldn’t use envelopes and fiddle around with flaps, I would use a piece of cardstock or patterned paper (one sided or with a side you don’t like on the inside) folded in half, then glue your second and third pieces of paper on it to form the pockets. Easy peasy 😁

She ending up doing both sides then cut them into multiple tags etc I did it and then cut them and got quite a lot of tags page belly bands etc. just make sure that when you do the front and go to the back that you are putting them pointing up the same way as the front. I didn’t do my front is great but the back is upside down. I don’t see how Carol could roll hers there was no way mine would of rolled. If I do it again I’ll tear bigger pieces to put on.
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
Lol, yes I can imagine myself doing the back upside down too! I did wonder whether it would roll up nicely,or whether the pieces would all just start to come up x
