Me ex ended up with a meth addiction. Got pregnant and left state with my son. Haven't seen him in over 2 years. Yet every time we talk I get the blame. Patience ain't always the key in these situations. If tough love with patience doesn't work, nothing will. That's when you take that pain yourself and fight like hell to not let any type of addiction take control of yourself. It's rough. I'm an alcoholic and have been losing that battle, especially when it comes to the holidays. Be strong everyone who battles any type of addiction. That light may be dim at the start, but it gets brighter the more you fight to reach it. It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it for those of you who make it. Unfortunately for myself, I have yet to reach that light, and probably never will. Cherish your loved ones.
