Jhon Gosu Yeah he runs Rafaam for that plan but he runs expensive spells for the 10 mana minions that summons random minions equal to the mana cost of spells in your hand. The deck is focused around this main combo, the Rafaam thing is secondary.

graydaze Yeah but filling a board with 8 mana minions is definitely a good win condition. With the heropower you could get phaoris off early before priest can even use a plague of death for example. The decks highroll is pretty great.

@@qwej9341 Sure, but I wouldn't call Pharois the primary win condition. It's to inconsistent for that. There still some answers to big boards like mass hysteria and brawl. I view this as a control deck whose primary win condition is Rafaam and the secondary is fatigue/void contract against combo decks.

But also note that Uldum has a very different culture and the people there that follow the light, also seem to engage in some sort of tradition where it is honorable to continue your duty even unto death - hence the card that's a literal spirit guarding the tomb of his king/emperor. Bearing in mind that Paladins also follow the Light AND defend their kings/princes I'd say it's simply a difference in cultures not necessarilly a difference of the class itself. Just like how a Tauren Shaman and Troll Shaman would have very different practices, an Uldum Paladin and an Eastern Kingdoms Paladin will have very different practices too.

​@@Ray_tch Honestly, I feel like it loses really hard to early game decks. You effectively start with one less card and if you try to complete the quest, that just means you can get run over by aggro decks. Maybe you can play around it by tossing the quest during mulligan if you think you are playing against an aggressive deck (which you can't really risk against classes that have several viable archetypes). In that case, I guess it's a question of whether or not the cards that you run in your deck are good enough to beat an aggro deck without the quest. Ultimately we'll have to see, but I'm really looking forward to this expansion !

It's definitely a 300IQ deck, big brain decks aren't always 'good' decks. He managed to find a way to utilise a card that's usually seen as a drawback, I'd say it's commendable.

@@Stolanis Angels are holy beings created by God to do certain jobs for him. Angels don't need to eat, sleep, rest, pee, poop or have sex and are unable to procreate but they're immortal beings. Angels are neither male nor female but in most holy books they've ever seen in male human disguise. They don't have any reproductive organs (including breasts).

So... how do you win as this Warlock deck xD You shuffle tons of worthless imps and void contract - you want to win in fatigue but you non stop topdecks 1 (or 0) mama 1/1 aganst normal deck... Rng that your opponent didnt draw late game before void contract and rng that void contract destroys good cards...

@@dawidk519 also important to note is that you can't void contract unless you're holding rafaam. You also don't want to impbalming without rafaam in hand, however you want to eleek both impbalming and plot twist, so it's a bit awkward there. Pretty weak concept, but not as worthless as the imps

I just want to know what Blizzard was thinking when they designed a Class legendary quest to only work for 1 expansion. Reborn is going to be an Uldum only mechanic so why did Blizzard make a quest that relies on you having to play cards that will only ever be around in 1 set? The card will be completely worthless as soon as the next set drops.

Noobie2k7 as i said before, the hard part is getting enough out of the hero power to be better than an unconditional “summon a 1/1”. Because unlike other quests in terms of value, this isn’t worth more than 2 mana without synergies.

Noobie2k7 couple of points 1. the expansions this year are part of a continuous narrative so there is no reason at all why you can’t put reborn minions in the next expansion. 2. As we saw here it is not that unrealistic to complete the quest and so now you can support the deck by making things you want to use hero power on because The reborn package itself is fine.

Agreed, the hero power payoff needs to be big and consistent to offset the cost of filling your deck with mediocre reborn cards, so we'd need more plentiful high-power deathrattles to justify it. Maybe next expansion.
