great video! so impressive how skilled these craftsmen are. however, i can’t help but wonder if mass production is overshadowing traditional craftsmanship. it seems like we’re losing a bit of the personal touch in favor of efficiency. what do you all think?

Merci au réfrigéré d'un maître nageur sauveteur, anciennement propriétaire d'un -e pizzeria d'une rue, petite rue avant le pont de l'église, celui sous lequel passe la rivière à St Girons. Bonne fin de journée.

I didn't know that Bamboo has to be dried for, at least three years, in order to make a bamboo fishing rod!
@atlchris81
@atlchris81 21 күн бұрын
It don’t they just say that to make it sound like they are putting more time into something to make it cost more, when in reality it could dry in less than 6 months and they could produce more and make more money, and as I have found in a lot of cases of ppl make stuff out of wood, some wood does get tighter “harder” as it dries slowly but most wood can dry in 6 month or less and is still the same quality as 10 year dried wood and some just say it’s been dried for 3 years or 10 but it was dried in a dryer in a few hours and it’s just a marketing thing to make you feel like they have put “extra”effort into something when in reality they have done nothing but let it allegedly take up space for 3 years. But think about something, bamboo is not even wood it’s actually a type of grass, letting it sit and dry out that long would actually make it more brittle and it would break more easily without being treated with varnish or something which is what most bamboo rods are coated with to make them last longer, the same thing would also make 3 month dried bamboo last the same amount of time if just dried to the proper point. It’s all about making you THINK someone has done something when in fact even if they let it dry for 3 years what does that mean they did to it to make it better quality, and I don’t think just sitting there watching grass dry is doing much but wasting precious space, IF that’s what is actually being done to start with!
