The sixth stop of this France tour of low-tech focused on the manufacture of a mass stove.
The team went to meet David between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire.
Living in a Yurt of 25m2 for two years now, he has made a mass stove specially designed for light and mobile habitats that allows him to compensate for the lack of inertia of his house.
It combines the interests of a mass stove and a rocket stove by diffusing heat over a long period thanks to the inertia of the mass that constitutes it. Once the fire is over, the stove can maintain a comfortable temperature in the house for 6 to 10 hours!
This rapid outbreak system also allows complete combustion unlike a stove used at low heat that generates gases harmful to the environment.
The particularity of David’s stove is that it is partially filled with sand to increase its inertia, it is more easily movable. Ideal for light and nomadic houses.
The documentation of this wounderfull low-tech is online on our website : lab.lowtechlab.org/index.php?title=Poelito_-_Po%C3%AAle_de_masse_semi-d%C3%A9montable
It is perfectly adapted to our cool temperatures!
And remember, knowledge is alive!
So do not hesitate to share with everyone remarks or questions! Share them in the discussion area of the record: lab.lowtechlab.org/index.php?title=Discussion:Poelito_-_Po%C3%AAle_de_masse_semi-d%C3%A9montable
The answers will be made and the tutorial will be completed with this additional information.
