As a crocheter and knitter since my childhood I guess the flowers were done earlier and sewed / woven in the 3 days on the dress.

Some of these teens are amazing! My mother taught my sister and I to crochet when we're girls, but the most I made was belts, scarves, and hats. She also taught my daughter to crochet before she passed. My daughter will go to bed, and in the morning have crotcheted a baby doll top, with a handbag by morning, all because she couldn't sleep.

As a retired designer, I can say that Oyinda’s ability to interpret a sewn garment into this lovely crocheted dress is a rare talent. And having the skill to actually create it is the cherry on top! I hope she considers a career in fashion as, with hard work, she can be successful.

@@pedward323 Regrets are just a waste of time. You could start learning to crochet today, May I suggest a couple ideas? = whatever type of yarn you choose, pick your most favorite color in a medium shade. “Easier to see your stitches, my dear”. Dark colored yarn is very hard to work with unless under a very bright light. My favorite is Lion Brand 24/7 yarn. It is 100% cotton and makes a fabric that has such a wonderful feel to it. I use a size 4.5mm hook when working with it. = YT has many videos hosted by terrific people, for crafters of any skill set. I have been crocheting since 1965(age 11), and still find interesting ideas to learn and then try out. On a personal note, I view crocheting projects as productive fidget “spinners”. 😁

My mom made my sister and I quite a number of crochet clothes as we were growing up, from bikinis to skirts, tops, pants with tunic tops and the most beautiful shawls. I loved all of them. So impressed by the lovely creation of this young lady.

I cooked most all of our family dinners, I did all the laundry and whatever help I could give, I didn’t mind, my sisters are wonderful people ❤️
