Massachusetts Wedding Video // Katherine + Chris // New England Charm

Katherine had contacted us after watching one of our wedding films on our website, wondering if we would travel up to Massachusetts for her wedding. Of course we would! We were thrilled to head up to this amazing seaside location in New England for such a spectacular wedding event.
It was such a pleasure to work with Katherine and Chris. The two met through mutual friends… friends who were now in their wedding party! They had started dating and knew within months that each had found ‘the one’. When Chris asked Katherine early on if she thought they would get married someday, she said ‘yes’! The official proposal though came on her birthday. Chris put the ring into a birthday gift bag and when Katherine saw it, she was genuinely surprised! He got down onto one knee and asked her to be his wife. Katherine, of course, said ‘yes’ again!
The big day’s events began at Lemon Lime Studio in Hingham where Katherine and her bridal party readied themselves for the wedding. Afterwards, they travelled to her parents’ home to get dressed and have photos taken. It was a pleasure to work alongside Creative Vision Photography as they captured formal and candid photographs of the wedding day. Before Katherine and Chris finished dressing, they separately read their personal cards to each other. There was not a dry eye as Katherine read her love note!
Katherine then changed into her beautiful dress. It was a graceful, flowing chiffon wedding gown with a halter top and A-line/Princess silhouette. And she certainly looked just like a princess! She wore her hair up and accented with a sparkling rhinestone hairband. A gorgeous long flowing veil on the back of her hair completed her elegant look, as she carried a lush and lovely, full white bouquet from Sue Chessia Floral Design. Her beautiful bridesmaids wore matching long strapless pink gowns that also featured light and flowing fabric….perfect for an early summer wedding.
Chris was a sharp dressed groom in his dark suit. He and his groomsmen added a wonderful pop of color in their matching red ties with a subtle sailboat pattern, a terrific nod to their maritime wedding location.
It was then time to head to the church. A white trolley transported the groomsmen to The Parish of St. Anthony in Cohasset where they had a beautiful, traditional wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, photos were taken at the Cohasset Yacht Club overlooking the scenic Cohasset Cove. It was wonderful to stroll around the gorgeous grounds with its distinctive New England nautical setting. This truly was a beautifully planned and orchestrated wedding event, accomplished with the expert help of Cara McAuley of Anchor Events.
Katherine and Chris chose to have a tented reception and it was a perfect decision in keeping with their ‘casually elegant’ wedding theme. It was such a fantastic party! And check out the moves on that dance floor that prove it! The amazing eleven-piece band, Beantown, definitely rocked the house! And we loved that Chris even got the chance to perform with them! What an extraordinarily fun event!
At the end of the evening, Katherine and Chris’ guests sent them off with an exciting sparkler salute. It was a wonderful tribute to a exceptional couple on one of the most special days of their new life together.
