I wish all teachers did this. Draw the muscles and name them as you massage. Makes it clear as water. This type of teaching benefits the auditory, visual, and the physical learners, keeping everyone interested and actually learning. Thanks again Maria!! You helped me through school for real!!
@MassageTherapeutics9153 жыл бұрын
Gordion I really appreciate your feedback and I’m glad it’s helped you through school. In all fairness to teachers doing the drawings takes time & effort & most don’t have the time. It would be ideal to this every time we teach! I’ve been having the students draw the muscles for 25 years & they say it’s what helps them the most to learn them. I let them draw them because I don’t have the time. Thank you for your support!

First of I really want to thank for taking the time and drawing the illustrations on the client. It helps a lot visually compared to some who will say a bunch of muscle groups or bones even but won’t point or demonstrate what they’re saying. Also have you considered doing a video about the rhomboids, lower traps and scapula massage? Essentially a upper back massage. Maybe deep massage?

I just found these videos courtesy of my classmate. I'm in my last month at school and my MBLEx is scheduled for August 1st. I'm nervous but eager to jump into the work. And I like the A&P videos you have because they give me a visual of the muscles on the limbs, which helps cement it into my mind. I hope you make more of these kinds of videos in the near future! It's been over a year since I took A&P, so I'm struggling to catch up on this subject in general.
@MassageTherapeutics9155 жыл бұрын
Britta Nicole Miller congratulations on getting through the massage therapy program & good luck on the MBlex. Our next video will be on the arm. Some A&P and Kinesiology too. I hope you’ve downloaded the MBlex apps & the trail guide to the body lite. They are very helpful. Specially the trail guide since that one really helps to learn origins & insertions & actions of the muscles. Good luck

Benjamin Perez bienvenido Espańa!!! 🇪🇸 Muy agradecida por su retroalimentación. Did you go to massage therapy in Spain? I’m curious to know what the requirements are in Spain to become a massage therapist.
@benjaminperez27135 жыл бұрын
@@MassageTherapeutics915 I give them hehehe. E spain, the requirements are some studies of about 2 years, you also have to know that there are several types of massage, decontracturing, relaxing, etc ... There are also different techniques: tuina, reiki, Shiatsu,etc.
@MassageTherapeutics9155 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Perez it sounds like extensive learning! 2 years is more than the 500hrs most schools require. You also learn more modalities than we teach in most of our programs. They just get an introduction to different modalities not anything extensive. Tuina was my first modality I learned besides Swedish. It’s also the oldest modality recorded!

@MassageTherapeutics9153 жыл бұрын
Exactamente! No es necesario la terapia con dolor! Primero tienes que relajar el sistema nervioso para que se relaje el músculo 🤗. Tú si le entendiste ❤️🤗

I found you very humble and knowledgeable.I love also your way of sharing with us on your videos. I have a question.It's a month into my rapture (cut clean with the door of the car...I know-ridiculous...) of Achilles tendon.Do you have some advices on coming back to balance and way of healing?
@MassageTherapeutics9155 жыл бұрын
Wiola Misiuna oh my gosh that’s an awful injury! It must have been painful 😖. Remember that tendons have less blood flow so it takes longer to heal. Make sure you check with your dr. First. I would recommend some light stretching like when your sitting down & doing plantar flexión & extensión. Start of gently & less reps. Ice brings down swelling too & helps with the pain. MEAT is used more than RICE In certain cases. I would work on the calf muscles too like the gastrocnemius. Thank you very much for the lovely comments. Best wishes on your recovery & tendons do take longer to heal! So be patient 😘🤗

From all your excellent videos, this is on my top 5! Wow! Thank you for your good advice and tips. Can you give advice for varicose veins, please?
@MassageTherapeutics9153 жыл бұрын
This one is one of my favorites too! It just all came together between the artist, videographer, model & choreography & myself! It was a good day! What kind of advice for varicose veins? That means damage has been done to the one way valves already. You give massage centripetal (towards the heart) in a slower fashion to allow veins to fill & not back flow. Also depends on how bad they are. I would tell your client to as the doctor for recommendations. Hope this answers your question 🤗
