Cliff thank you for the video. I really like the continuing journey heading back to PA. I live in VA and the mountain range is one of the most beautiful places. Massanutten is in the George Washington National Forest. That area is a destination for many also in the winter since there are 4 ski resorts in the area. I enjoy your videos since I grew up in PA. Have a good trip.

Wow You are making your way across some cool places. This is one of my favorites. I used to roller blade down that trail and it's a wonderful spot to watch fireworks as you can see the fireworks from DC area on a clear night. I actually got married there on Valentine's Day yrs ago. Beautiful pics. Beautiful place. There are Hawks and birds that ride the thermals - if you keep going straight on the main road it takes you to Elizabeth Furnace after a winding road toward Edinburgh..and Fort Valley if I remember correctly. Have a safe trip home Cliff and thanks for sharing Virginia with your viewers. ✌️ Oh and back in there is where you can sometimes see Scarlet Tanagers.

That overlook was beautiful and those trails leading off looked tempting to try. The only way I could bribe my kids to go there (or on any hike) is to tell them it takes less then 10 minutes to walk from the car to the overlook, AND that there is a McDonald's ( or Wendy's, BK ) nearby.

YEAH! That one's on my to-do list, too! I've always heard it called Mass-a-NUT-ten - never heard Mass-a-newt-ten. 😄 Really hate when dumb-folks hafta paint on things and ruin them! Awesome view of the adopted home-state that I love, though! ❤️ No Micky-D's for me! Sliced meat or sugar-free jerky, and nuts mixed with sugar-free chocolate chips, and a sugar-free Gatorade or tea!

I know about that place I belong to a bear hunting club and we hunt that area. We call it fort valley. Those little trails are used by the dog men when we hunt bear.
