Can we take a moment to appreciate two things? 1. That is seriously some great acting by the main two guys in the video. You can FEEL the tension between them. Also in most parts, spot on perfect lipsync! Seriously, nice work! 2. This video itself is very well made. Great colour grading, camera work, etc. For example, at 1:06, that closeup of the red tie guy's face is fantastic. The lighting across the face is perfect, his expression is so full of emotion, the use of depth of field blur to really make his face pop out of the scene is just spot on. Really, there are movies with box office releases that don't have production quality this high.

Would be great, huh? But we have a long, proud history of sending poor men to fight in rich men's wars, leaving the women, children and elderly behind to keep the world running and pick up the broken pieces when it's done, fighting to live with what's left until the next one comes. Maybe one day, if we can find a new power structure, something that works for everyone, we can all live in peace and reach our true potential.

Don't overlook the perfect meaning behind the ending. The video shows a so called diplomatic discussion that becomes an explicit argument which quickly leads to a massive fight among world leaders showing their true expressions and feelings behind all their political correctness. But the end is the most important part. A world leader smashes everything in his way with an American flag symbolising ruthless and blind patriotism in pursuit of and imposing on a violent message of the abstract perception of the meaning behind what the flag should represent - freedom, democracy, liberty etc. Just as he is about to impale a foreign leader with this flag and all that comes with it, he gets a quick reminder. Beyond all of these illusions there lies an underlying reality as he notices when he looks at the cleaner. After these world leaders have had their fun, who cleans up their mess? Who are the people that suffer most? And all of this for what? It's such a subtle but beautiful ending to an incredible music video. EDIT: On rewatching a month later I just noticed the dove (a symbol meant to represent peace) at 2:44 is plummeting for the ground but chaotically flapping it's wings to try and stay airborne. And then in the very next scene, the world leader is crawling on the ground through the scattered white feathers which implies that the bird has died (unless you want to argue the feathers are coming from the suit jackets but their suits don't look ripped apart enough to create this amount of mess). This could represent that peace is dead. (also, in some culture white feathers represent death/afterlife) - I think it says a lot that the world leader is trudging through what signifies death, the destruction of peace and the death/remains of a dove - I don't know, just something I thought might be worth noting :) - Also, in regards to the other farm animals, someone in the comments rightly pointed out that this could be a reference to Animal Farm (which is a great point!) also the farm animals featured is a chicken and pig which I think could also be a reference to the old chicken and the pig fable about different levels of commitment to a project/cause? Sacrifice vs contribution

Your analysis is actually really insightful and for the most part I had gleaned what you're talking about but you brought up the janitor at the end and that piqued my interest. As well as the idea of who has to deal with the aftermath of their pointless conflict, I think that janitor at the end also just symbolizes how pointless the conflict was in the first place. Like at the the end of the day, there's always gonna be someone who passes by and sees everything that happened from an outsiders perspective. I think, for me at least, that's the most powerful part of the whole thing is just seeing how embarrassing it feels to realize that this is all mostly pointless and when it all comes down to it, its just another office that needs to be cleaned. For some reason, coming out of situations where I've been so angry at something that I just didn't know what to do, I look back and feel kind of embarrassed because it was just all so pointless. Just to add, I'm not disagreeing with you whatsoever, I totally think you're right and I'm just trying to add to what you're saying. Cheers man
