Killer Mike is from A - Town. The flow and style never went away, just changed in modern times. You can call it crunk, phonk, trill, trap, whatever, but that southside influence is superb compared to anything else. Anyways, A Town didn't even start this style, it was mostly Tenessee, and Texas, M Town n H Town. A Town just came along afterwards, and NYC picked it up shortly after the south was rubbin off on the west coast. Cyphress Hill, Snoop, Outkast, most of em are their own, but you can look at their music and see the influences in certain songs.

They're questioning a witness to try and identify the perpetrator and make an arrest on El-P and Killer Mike. The beginning line up is a bunch of El-Ps and Killer Mikes (meant to represent undesirables of society) with some obvious red herrings like the nun, the handicapped man, and the "clean cut white boy." As the video goes on, the line-up gets more and more narrow, with the final being only cops and the two rappers, so that the witness basically has to choose to put the two rappers behind bars (even if they didn't commit the crime). Also, around the 2:30 mark, the numbers at the bottom of the screen represent the number of people incarcerated in the US, which has a much larger number of prisoners per capita than most other developed nations. Basically, the song is about how cops use shady practices and profiling to put a disproportionately large number of people, most typically minorities and people of ill reputation like rappers, into prison.

really we should be fitting our laws to be in change to the actual issue rather than sinply box them up like drug dealers are literally trying to be a lemonade stand, thats a market that is going to exist, so if its decriminalized its going to be less "dioluted" and impure and people will only have the chemical they want. like how cannabis is becoming pesticide and mold tested for quality control. Apparently you cant sell one of your organs willingly legally? like a kidney countries are just big state, its earth, you arent going to tipically "Go Somewhere" other than earth china needs to be saved from china this is an earth thing that place we all live together lets get it together

@@DjStiv3 That's not true at all. A TON of convictions are for drug dealing and using. From weed to cocaine. We treat it as a felony, almost like they killed someone. But drug use is a disease, not a decision. The things that lead to it are often systematic, not personal. Results show that less regulation, and more treatment is what's effective, where as imprisonment, isn't effective in the slightest. Also, wrongful imprisonment is more common than many believe. Good people do go to jail, and druggies don't deserve jail time. They're just drowning the sorrows with drugs, that the system are responsible for both drugs and sorrow. This is just one case of laws being in place just to fill prisons only. Also, to let you know, prisons are privatized more often than not... They aren't a government institution, really. And thanks to that, they find plenty of ways to make money off their prisoners. Making prisons, quite profitable. Not to mention buying things while inside is extra expensive. So don't worry about your tax dollars. They're more used up bailing out banks and buying weapons.

@@jaybird259 people like to watch attractive, muscular, unblemished people jump and fly around through explosions. It doesnt matter how bad the story is or how much it deviates from the original as long as the people are hot and there are explosions and high production people will pay to see it. Star Wars, while being capable of these feats, carries the stigma of being for "geeks" or "nerds", same thing with hunger games and harry potter. If they could inject star wars with more boobs and explosions without the overwhelming fanbase condemning them for doing so they would. The days where block buster movies were made to relate to the individual and leave them with a sense of wonder or purpose are unfortunately long gone, nowadays every movie is made based on a formula where things like profit, likability, rewatch value, rotten tomatoes score, retweet value, and hashtag value all are much more important than things like relatable characters, story value, emotional connection etc. Its not just marvel movies its horror movies, action movies, rom com movies, everything. Its not about making a good movie anymore its about making a good profit. Thats it.

1:32 is a reference to Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. The sound effect of the guy screaming is from the movie during one of its most iconic scenes. Also the ammo clips have “Hi There” and “Dear John” written on them, which is also what’s written on the bombs in the movie.
