Hey JT, forgive me but watching a fellow refurbisher struggle always brings a smile!:) Sorry!😢 Just yesterday I spent about two hours scraping 59 years of oil and dirt build up from under my 65 F350. I got about twenty pounds in the plastic tub and another ten on my sweatshirt. My wife asked if I was having fun. Not really but there is a warm and fuzzy feeling when you're done. This workup for the ll05 made this into a completely different tractor. When paint was out of sight atop the cab I believe white paint on top like a school bus would lower the load on the aircon by half. Your work seems to make this repaired tractor a thing of beauty. This is more appropriate to your farm size but those three big double ended jobbies are fun. You surprise me with your farmer work ethic which is exemplary and your method of speaking seems Scandinavian in a sense. Good luck in your travels JT. Wishing you well. The only thing I haven't seen in your circus is a big Bud and your combines seem to plug along fighting entropy at every chance. But you seem to have two of everything, so want is not visiting.

Ever think of hanging a small hoist from the ceiling, for lifting hoods and the like? I use a little remote-operated HF job for getting heavy stuff into the attic of my shop. Works great and an inexpensive set of helping hands.

Thanks for the update on the 1105, Years ago I had an 1135 as a fix and sell project the transmission was destroyed and had about 4 oil pails full of scrap parts in when I rebuilt it as it lost drive to the rear end, hopefully yours isn't full of filings in the filters. cosmetically after painting the wheels loader and cab roof it looked as nice as your repaints. Sadly this one was always a problem child I was kinda mad about it even after I sold it to somebody I know because I thought it was better, I think the 5600 hours on it was really 15600 but hey it looked like lower hours when I got it ! I've seen a few of these end days at fertilizer plants because they were big cheap tractors round here ,either that or it's been on a pig or chicken farm, if it wasn't a municipal/highways department tractor. That one I had the floor mat was destroyed so I got one of those real thick rubber horse trailer mats and cut that to fit the floor properly, it was a project getting it right with careful measuring and cutting, but man did it quieten that cab down from transmission noise. Thanks Rob! That 1135 indeed sounds like a 15k hour machine. Probably beaten the whole way lol. I can’t help but think that my 1105 may have been on a spreader or in a salty environment. Maybe had a loader loading trucks and wind blew salt onto the roof as well? If it could tell me stories lol!

1105 has had a rough life, or more like a rough owner or two. MF usually keep their painted parts pretty good, this old girl has been, sadly had no love at all, she has now come to a home that shows lots of it. A sand/water blaster would be ideal tool to strip her down to bits she still had, but they cost, unless you happen to know a local that has one, make a few $$ on a weekend for not much $$ to the owner. ...........Happy Christmas JT & family, above all healthy and prosperous new year from one way across the pond.
