Great job! Keep the painting vids coming! Even if it's an old cultivator or grain drill. I finished painting my 875 Versatile ahout 11 months ago. Big job but fun and definitely worth it. Like you, I get people asking me to paint their tractors, too. I get the feeling they think it can be done in an afternoon. I started saying "Sure, $12,000". Fortunately no takers so far. I'd rather work on my own stuff. I could watch these equipment painting vids all day

I really enjoy your videos and your comical presentation. I grew up helping my neighbor farm and he was a Massey Man all the way. He had 2-135s, a -255, a -175, a 285, an 1150, an 1155 and the big beast 2805! So naturally I have Massey Ferguson tractors. I have a 4607 and I just bought a 70's model 245 that I am working on. I hope to paint it some day as well. When I was looking at buying my 4607 I was talking to a dealer and he began to tell me the advantages of having a MF compared to the other brands. I had to interrupt him and tell him that he didn't have to sell me on them And I told him about my neighbor my growing up around him and his Massey's. And I told him that my neighbor always said , "There is only one thing better than a Massey Ferguson and that is two of them!" When I told him that he asked me if he could make that into banner and put it in front of their business, because they were in between a JD dealer and a Case/IH dealer. I said as long as he gave credit to the man that made the quote. So he sent me a picture of the banner he made and it is now in my shop. I wish I had a way of posting the picture here, but I don't see one. Sorry for the long post and thanks again for your videos!

That’s a terrific story! I’d like to see that banner! What a great way to honor your neighbor, sounds like he was a good man. I wouldn’t mind finding a 2000 series at some point. Seems fitting for my collection

That 1155 is looking really awesome ! Nice job considering it's in the dead of winter , & the M-F = is looking Mighty - Fine ! I'm a Massey - Ferguson guy myself , The hole in the hood that was covered up is for a single exhaust stack ? My guess anyway , I only have 2 tractors & the 1959 M-F 50 is in need of a respray , & I have all the decals , & new hood latches for ( Chrome ) her ! seeing how she is a a working tractor I just bought rattle cans to do the job ! & the colors are close enough for me ! & the other is a 2018 M-F 1526 so that's all good there ! I hope by late spring to start getting her ready for the respray since it will be done outside ! Thanks for the video on your Mighty- Fine 1155 repaint .

10 points to the winner! There is a patched hole where the original muffler came through the hood. The bitter cold definitely makes a paint job more of a challenge. Especially in a rickety old barn 😉

I'm not sure which I like better, silver or chrome paint. Better than grey never the less. It's just that chrome paint needs on real thick to look good. Certainly would be very similar to silver if both were correctly applied. Tell me where I am screwed up JT since you will be 20 steps ahead with your better techniques.😊

I painted one of my freightliner trucks and my male bassett Odie layer in front of my shop fan and got a nice hilight of metallic blue overspray. Should have give Fluffy a red and silver do. Lol. Just got thru with a ih 5288

The body colour shade is some none discript French colour, the correct shade round the nose at the front & the wheels is "Silver Mist", I would think you are there with that shade, hell I once sprayed a Ford tractor any colour of my choice for the farmer, I chose a nice John Deere green haha, he said he didnt expect it, but it grew on him......Some thing for you to try getting bonnet name stickers off a little easier, spray liberaly (lots of it) with WD40. ..Your Massey 1155 looks the Dogs Bollocks I must say.
