Massey Ferguson 124 baler. Knotter trouble

Hey there, thanks for sharing! Knock on wood my 124’s knotters tend to behave themselves, but I know knotter work is coming some day - so I appreciate gleaning this sort of experience whenever I come across it. Thanks for taking the time to film!

My 124 baler done this same thing. Come to find out the factory had the knotter out of time by one cog. Took it apart and put it back together at least 24 times. You must have the twine it to see if they match. That takes time !!!! 4 days later........now.........The baler " might " miss one bale out of one thousand bales. Major improvement !

The joys of small baler knotters, each one is an individual, you can set them the same and one will work the other not.

we have the identical baler. needle adjustment fixed our knotting problem.

Hello, I have an mf124 balotiera and it's giving me problems .. can you help me with advice regarding the placement of the knife? thread remains on the knotting beak.. thank you.

If l dont keep the knives sharp on my mf124, it misses. The knife clearance has to be set proper aswell

Do you mind sharing what the knife clearance should be?? My MF124 misses knots on one knotter, and seems to improve after I sharpen the knives, but it still misses.

hello with small bales knotter you need to adjust the twine tension on the twine disc is critical. To much pressure and you break the twine to little and it will slip out causing a miss tie. the very the leaf spring you should have adjustment nuts. to increase the tension you either tighten or loosen the nut with the spring. I hope this helps.
