Good to see this video, brings back memories of my time working for a farm contractor in the late 70s early 80s here in the UK. operating a MF1200 and a 1250. Mostly ploughing and pto work towing a forager.

It’s really not terribly loud in there. The 7520 that I used to have(makes an appearance after the very end of the video) was terribly loud and rattling in comparison lol.

Looks good but where I live some people call that a chisel plow, and others called a cultivator so I wonder what the proper name is I have a small one with six shanks on it .and got it out yesterday and ran around the big garden just to smell the fresh dirt smell and today it’s rain and Thursday it’s supposed to snow.

Awww…. The old dogleg turn. The dogleg turn has been the topic of many discussions at the farm. It always ends the same with side notes of turn braking the 2wd tractor and the always dreaded late execution of a late turn and fence clipping.

I don't think you should call it "Turd" anymore. It looks like you have it running in tip top shape! But, I have to admit, the name gives me a chuckle. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy them all, but mostly the ones dealing with the Masseys!

@@jtsbarnngrill6873 That's the spirit! Run it until it NEEDS replacement! With the inside tire there you won't wreck anything getting it home unless there is a 2 or 3 ft long chunk of tread or sidewall flapping in the breeze.

I’ve always liked my Masseys. I had the 7520 years back because it was headed to the crusher, so I saved it. Used it for a while, cool tractor but I moved it on. I still have my Deere combines. Why is it in the USA you always seem to have double wheels on no matter what job or what tractor you have here in the UK farmers don't bother with the extra wheels unless it's necessary
@jtsbarnngrill6873 Жыл бұрын
Mostly for flotation and reduced compaction. The wide footprint helps keep the ride a little more smooth. A little extra traction in the wet spots never hurts either. Depending on the soil type this region to yours, might not be as necessary there?
@jamesmarsh4957 Жыл бұрын
