Pity they didn't put more development and quality control into this series. They should have had a power-Shuttle from the start, with a wet clutch. In fact it should have been what the 6200 series turned out to be, from the very beginning. They lost a lot of customers due to brake issues, poor pre-selector shuttle and inconsistent hardening of transmission gears.

So was the earlier 3645 type machine with dynashift better/more reliable in your opinion? I prefer the earlier machines and was thinking of getting one that had been looked after.

The 6100 series just about made MF go broke. I believe MF brought out a kit so that you could convert them to a manual shuttle
