I was more concerned about your back than the bucket, tugging on those roots! Looking good.

Thanks for your concerns. I never knew whether a root was completely free after scraping with the bucket. Some were loose, some still took some doing to get out as you saw. But ultimately, this method was still way easier than using an ax.

Like you said you pushed your machine. You were making it work for you and I don’t see a problem with what you are using it for. I know I ask a lot from my 430’s and some may say I abuse them. It is a tractor and they are made to work for you. Pretty stoked to see how it turned out! Looks good!!

Thanks! It does look way more clear and smooth and should be a much more gentle ride from now on.

I have a 2018 Gc1720 and push mine way harder than you did. Their pretty tough machines. Been stopped dead in my tracks many times hitting roots and so far never damaged anything. Think I’m going to add a piranha tooth bar and see how it does on breaking roots.

I would like to get one of those as well. I've also wondered how effective a 3pt mounted ripper clww might be.

I'd put a rear blade on and rade and shape. Maybe a boxer with rippers.

I wish I had those because I agree completely. Trying to smooth with a front bucket with blind spots is way more complicated than the implements you mentioned. I'm always looking for a deal on used ones but haven't yet or it's sold by the time I see it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree they don't sell them once they get them. You don't use them every day(except the blade) but enough to keep them around. In Missouri we have a company called Rhino and tho they weren't cheap they sell good tools that really held their value.

@@tlm3574 I believe it. Those implements and a set of pallet forks would be nice but your still still looking at between $700-$900 for each except the rear blade which seems to be a couple hundred less.

@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree i bot a rack and set of forks at an auction for $20. I bot a bobcat plate for $89 and paid a welder $50 to weld them together. After sanding and painting with Rustolium spray I had beautiful set of VERY heavy forks for less than $200. Bot another set for my son and he uses them to pry out concrete and sidewalks. Indestructable!

@@JohnBraman413 I would love to have a tooth bar for my bucket! At some point I definitely will.
