I took a Massey Harris #3 square baler in on trade. It has sat outside uncovered for 20 plus years. The plunger is seized up tight. Can we get it to run again?

Thank you so much for this video. I'm looking at a #3 baler and I didn't know what caused the plunger sticking issues. This answered many questions. I think I will pick it up!

It's a good little baler. I have another video on here on rebuilding the plunger on that #3 baler. I currently have a nice #9 baler with a stuck plunger.

@@danbowen4083 Older balers used metal wear pads on the plunger and then later ones used nylatron wear pads which was some kind of newer plastic. I think the change was made in the 1980's but don't hold me to that

Your luck it wasn't realy stuck mine stuck so bad you cant get it to move forward or backward

Mine was stuck that bad but once I loosened up the rails and kept working it back and forth I finally got it to start moving.
