Agreed. Excellent interview and thought processes. Learn by doing and refine by comparative experience. The (algorithmic) methodology of formal science is scientific, not the "concluding data" for theoretical objectives that can be replaced by identifying the appropriateness or otherwise of the eternally incomplete QM objectives. Michael Faraday's "Chemistry of a Candle" demonstrated research methodology without drawing conclusions. (He may have assumed everyone shared his interpretation of Existence, Maxwell had to do the math for EM)

This guy doesn’t understand the difference between “ancient” and “modern” skeptics. The mechanics of human thoughts and beliefs haven’t changed in 3 thousand years. Even ancient skeptics still held beliefs. You have no choice but to BELIEVE things, whether or not you choose to champion or profess such beliefs. Skeptics just means you keep challenging the ideas, evidence, and beliefs. This guy is a pseudoscientist.

At first I was pretty put off by this comment, but then I rewatched the bit where he defines ancient skepticism and you may be right that he's oversimplifying it (albeit in an interview, where it's necessary to give quick and easy versions of complicated ideas, so maybe that was just the best way for him to express it). I don't think that makes him a pseudoscientist though, not even by his definition
